The Minister of State, President’s Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance, Hon. Ridhiwani Kikwete, has visited the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat to introduce himself and hold discussions with the institution’s Management.
Hon. Ridhiwani Kikwete commended the institution for effectively managing the national recruitment process. He also urged the Secretariat to increase its speed in executing its responsibilities, particularly in filling the 12,000 positions in the Health and Education sectors announced by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan.
“The employment permit has already been issued, and I thank you for beginning to work on it. This is commendable. It is my expectation that we will soon see results based on the President’s directives. Ensure that you manage the process thoroughly, and make the entire recruitment process transparent to eliminate the perception that there is favoritism in granting jobs.” Hon. Kikwete emphasized.
He also commended the Recruitment Secretariat for implementing instructions from Members of Parliament to conduct interviews at the regional level, which has enabled appointed candidates to receive their employment letters more easily.
For her part, the Deputy Minister, President’s Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance, Hon. Regina Qwaray, emphasized cooperation from the institution’s Management.
“We have come to introduce ourselves. I kindly ask for your cooperation. Let us work together and address public concerns as our President desires,” she added.
The Secretary of the Recruitment Secretariat, Mr. Mick Kiliba, expressed gratitude to the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, for continuously issuing employment permits. He also assured the Minister of State, President’s Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance, Hon.
