VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

1.0 MUHIMBILI UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH AND ALLIED SCIENCES (MUHAS)

The Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) is a Tanzanian Premium Health and Allied Sciences University established in 2007 through Article 1 of the Charter of Incorporation in line with the Universities Act No 7 of 2005. Since its establishment, MUHAS has managed to have a range of programmes in biomedical, clinical and allied health sciences which necessitates increasing of number of staff to perform its intended function. In this context, MUHAS is inviting applications from suitable candidates for various posts as itemized below for teaching the programmes across seven Schools and one academic Institute of the University.

1.1 LECTURER (PhD) – PHARMACEUTICAL MICROBIOLOGY - 1 POST
1.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.1.2 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Holder of PhD in Bioinformatics, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biosciences and Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences or Agricultural Sciences, Master of Science in Bioinformatics, Master of Science in Molecular Biology, Master of Science in Microbiology and Immunology, Master of Science in Biotechnology or with a GPA of at least 4.0 out of 5.0 and a first degree in Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology, Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology, Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology and Laboratory Sciences, Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics or Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5.0 from a recognized reputable university.

Epidemiology) with a GPA of at least 4.0 out of 5.0 and a holder of first degree in Veterinary Medicine (Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine/Bachelor of Veterinary Science) with a minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5.0 from a recognized reputable university.
