JOB VACANCIES AT BARRICK - BULYANHULU GOLD MINE

Barrick's Bulyanhulu Gold Mine, located in the Shinyanga region of Tanzania, is seeking qualified, dedicated, and safety-conscious individuals to join our world-class team. We are currently recruiting for the following positions:

1. Machine Operator (3 Vacancies)

  • Responsibilities: Ensure safe work practices, conduct equipment inspections, perform routine maintenance, operate earthmoving equipment, and comply with all safety and environmental procedures.

  • Qualifications: Ordinary Level Certificate (Form IV), Equipment Operator Certificate, Valid Driving License.

  • Experience: 3 years' experience in the mining industry; road maintenance repair experience.

2. Mine Survey Technician (1 Vacancy)

  • Responsibilities: Provide technical survey support, perform development pickups, install survey stations and grade pins, manage survey data, and ensure DGPS setup.

  • Qualifications: Diploma/Certificate in Mining Survey, Land Surveying, or Geomatics.

  • Experience: At least 2 years in an underground mining environment; proficiency in survey software (e.g., Surpac) and Leica instruments.

3. Underground Electrician (2 Vacancies)

  • Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical equipment, including medium and high-voltage systems. Ensure compliance with safety standards and support less experienced personnel.

  • Qualifications: Formal electrical training/certification aligned with Tanzanian standards.

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years’ underground electrical maintenance experience; knowledge of substations and power distribution.

4. Geology Technician (3 Vacancies)

  • Responsibilities: Conduct face marking, sampling, ore tracking, core logging, and ensure accurate data delivery and reporting. Maintain equipment and adhere to safety standards.

  • Qualifications: Geology Diploma from a recognized institution; Valid Tanzanian Driving License.

  • Experience: Over 5 years in mining, with 2 years in an underground environment.

5. HV Electrician - Shaft (2 Vacancies)

  • Responsibilities: Perform HV switching (220KV to 6.6KV), maintain electrical drills, troubleshoot complex problems, and ensure safe work practices for high-voltage systems.

  • Qualifications: FTC/Trade Certificate in Electrical; High Voltage Certificate; Valid Driving License (Class D & E or C).

  • Experience: 5 years’ experience in HV switching, isolation, and lockout in mining.

  • Experience: 7 years Drill and Blast experience, 5 years in a Supervisory role.

7. Cubex Operator (3 Vacancies)

  • Responsibilities: Carry out drilling tasks, assist in charging blast holes, optimize drilling methods, and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
