Songambele Hospital is a Faith-Based Health Facility owned by the Catholic Church under the Shinyanga Diocese. It has been serving the people of Nkololo wards and neighboring areas with a wide range of health services for over 30 years now. A dedicated and multidisciplinary team of Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists, Diagnostic, Administrative, and Supportive staff have been offering high-quality, accessible, and affordable health services.
We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill one (1) vacancy of a Radiographer to join our team.
Job Details:
Title: Radiographer
Reports to: Hospital Medical Officer in Charge
Job type: Contractual (1-year Contract)
Remuneration: Negotiable
Work Station: Songambele Hospital – Nkololo, Bariadi DC
Qualifications
Diploma in Medical Radiology and Imaging Science from a recognized teaching college/institution, and licensed by the respective professional board.
Roles and Responsibilities
i) Conduct imaging tests and examinations for patients referred to the working unit.
ii) Maintain radiology equipment and machines within the work area.
iii) Review radiological images to ensure they meet diagnostic quality standards.
iv) Store patients' images until results are delivered to the referring doctors.
v) Supervise junior staff under his/her responsibility (subordinates).
vi) Provide professional advice on radiology and imaging matters within the work area.
vii) Prepare diagnostic/treatment equipment and supervise the sterilization of instruments.
viii) Provide basic training to staff assigned to his/her department.
ix) Perform other duties assigned by his/her supervisor that align with education, experience, and skills.
