JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Executive Director of Busega District Council announces to qualified Tanzanian citizens to apply for seven (07) job vacancies in this Council after obtaining permission from the President's Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance as detailed below:-

1.0 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT GRADE II - 07 POSITIONS

1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

i. To coordinate all Community Development activities considering gender;
ii. To encourage communities at the family level in designing, planning, implementing, supervising and evaluating their development plans or projects;
iii. To promote the abandonment of harmful traditions/customs and to have a positive attitude towards change;
iv. To educate the community on implementing gender issues;
v. To encourage the community to use appropriate and simple technology;
vi. To educate the community on the importance of reporting various incidents such as disease outbreaks, markets, production of goods, food, employment and gender-based violence;
vii. To encourage the community to enroll in adult education;
viii. To educate the community on children's issues;
ix. To collect, analyze, and maintain gender-disaggregated statistics that will enable the community to plan development plans;
x. To perform other duties as assigned by the Employer.

1.1.1 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

To be employed, one must have a Certificate in Community Development from Community Development Colleges or other institutions recognized by the Government in one of the following fields: Community Development, Sociology, Development Studies, Project Planning and Management, Gender and Development, Rural Development, or other fields similar to Community Development.

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR THE JOB

i. The applicant must be a Tanzanian citizen aged not more than 45 years and not less than 18 years.
ii. Applicants must attach a copy of their Birth Certificate.
iii. Applicants must attach a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (Detailed CV) with a reliable address and phone numbers along with the names of three reliable Referees and their phone numbers.
iv. All applications must be accompanied by copies of Educational and Professional Certificates from institutions recognized by the Government. These copies must be certified by an Advocate or a Commissioner for Oaths.
v. Testimonials, provisional results, statement of results, will not be accepted.
vi. All applicants who studied outside the Country must ensure their certificates are verified by TCU and NECTA.
vii. Applicants must upload one recent Passport-size photo in the Electronic Job Application System.
viii. Job applicants who are already employed in entry-level positions within the Public Service should not apply and are required to adhere to the instructions in Circular No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated 30 November, 2010.
ix. Applicants who have retired from Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have permission from the Chief Secretary.
x. The application letter should be written in Swahili or English.
xi. The deadline for submitting applications is 21 November, 2025.
