JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The District Executive Director of Missenyi District Council announces to qualified Tanzanians the opportunity to apply for four (04) vacant positions within this Council, following approval from the President's Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance, as detailed below:-
1.0 OFFICE MANAGEMENT SECRETARY GRADE II - 1 POST
1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Typing letters, minutes, and regular and confidential documents.
ii. Assisting in receiving guests, presenting their issues, and directing them to where they can be assisted.
iii. Searching for required files and documents in the execution of work duties.
iv. Receiving files and distributing them to officers in the concerned divisions, units, and sections.
v. Arranging extracts and preparing for various meetings.
vi. Assisting in receiving files, distributing them to officers in the relevant sections, and collecting, storing, and returning them to the concerned sections.
vii. Preparing lists of office equipment requirements.
1.1.1 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
To be employed, the applicant must have Form IV or Form VI education and possess a Certificate/Diploma in Secretarial Studies or NTA Level 6 in Secretarial Studies. Additionally, they must have passed a Shorthand subject in Kiswahili and English at 100 words per minute and possess skills in office computer programs such as: Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet E-mail, and Publisher from any government-recognized college.

2.0 RECORDS MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT GRADE II – 2 POSTS
2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Listing incoming correspondence in the register.
ii. Listing outgoing correspondence from the Institution.
iii. Distributing files to action officers.
iv. Receiving files returning to the registry from action officers.
v. Tracking the movement of files within the Institution.
vi. Controlling the receipt and registration of records/documents.
vii. Analyzing, listing, and arranging records/documents into groups according to relevant subjects for office use.
viii. Returning files to the file racks/cabinets or other storage areas.
2.1.1 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
To be employed, the applicant must have Form IV or Form VI education and possess a Certificate/Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Records Management from government-recognized colleges, with computer skills.
2.1.2 SALARY LEVEL

3.0 DRIVER GRADE II – 1 POST
3.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Inspecting the vehicle before and after trips to determine its safety condition.
ii. Transporting staff to various locations on official trips.
iii. Performing minor vehicle repairs.
iv. Collecting and distributing various documents.
v. Recording and maintaining details of all trips in the trip logbook.
vi. Cleaning the vehicle.
vii. Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
3.1.1 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
To be employed, applicants must have a Form IV certificate and a Class E or C driving license which they have used for work for at least one (1) year without causing an accident, along with training certificates that qualified them to obtain the said license classes. They must have attended a Basic Driving Course offered by any government-recognized institution.
3.1.2 SALARY LEVEL

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPLICANTS
i. All applicants must be Tanzanian Citizens aged between 18 and 45 years.
ii. All applicants must attach a birth certificate certified by a Lawyer/Attorney.
iii. All applicants must attach a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (C.V) with reliable addresses and phone numbers along with the names of two reliable referees.
iv. All applications must be accompanied by academic certificates, transcripts, and certified copies of certificates by a Lawyer/Attorney which are birth certificate, Form IV, Form VI (for those who reached that level), and certificates of various trainings considering the requirements of the specific job.
v. "Testimonials", "Provisional Results", "Statement of Results", Form IV and Form VI results slips WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
vi. Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must ensure their certificates have been verified and approved by the relevant Authorities (TCU, NECTA, and NACTE).
vii. Applicants retired from the Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have permission from the Chief Secretary.
viii. Applicants for jobs who are already employed in intern positions within the Public Service should not apply and are required to adhere to the guidelines in Circular Letter No. CCA.45/257/01/D/140 dated November 30, 2010.
ix. Applicants who provide false information and credentials will face legal action.
x. The deadline for submitting applications is 27/11/2025.
