JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Executive Director of Muheza District Council announces to qualified Tanzanians the opportunity to apply for fifteen (15) job vacancies in this Council, following approval from the President's Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance, as per the following structure:

1.1 RECORDS MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT II - 5 POSTS

1.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i.Listing incoming letters in the Incoming Correspondence Register;
ii.Listing outgoing letters from the Institution in the Outgoing Correspondence Register;
iii.Distributing files to Action Officers;
iv.Receiving files returning to the registry from action officers;
v.Searching for records/documents or files required by action officers;
vi.Returning files to the file racks/filing cabinets or other storage places;
vii.Tracking the movement of files within and outside the Institution.

1.1.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
To be employed, one must have Form IV or Form VI education and possess a Certificate/Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Records Management from a government-recognized college, with skills in computer usage.

2.0 OFFICE MANAGEMENT SECRETARY II - 5 POSTS

2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i.Typing letters, notices, and regular and confidential documents;
ii.Receiving guests, listening to their problems, and advising them on where they can get help;
iii.Maintaining records of events, appointments, meeting dates, supervisor's travel schedules, and other work schedules;
iv.Searching for files and documents needed in the execution of work duties;
v.Receiving files and distributing them to officers in the relevant Department/Unit/Section;
vi.Collecting, storing, and returning files and documents to the relevant sections;
vii.Preparing agendas and making preparations for various meetings;
viii.Preparing a list of requirements for office equipment.

2.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
To be employed, one must have Form IV or Form VI education and possess a Certificate/Diploma in Secretarial Studies or an NTA Level 6 Certificate in Secretarial Studies. Furthermore, they must have passed Shorthand in Swahili and English at 100 words per minute and acquired office computer programs such as: Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet, E-mail, and Publisher from any government-recognized college.

2.2 DRIVER GRADE II – 5 POSTS

2.2.1 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
To be employed, one must have a Form IV certificate and a Class E or C driving license, with a proven work experience of not less than one (1) year without causing an accident, along with training certificates that qualified them to obtain the respective license classes. They must have attended a Basic Driving Course offered by any government-recognized institution.

2.2.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i.Inspecting the vehicle before and after trips to determine its safety condition;
ii.Transporting staff to various locations on official trips;
iii.Performing minor vehicle repairs;
iv.Maintaining and writing a log book for all trips;
v.Collecting and distributing various documents;
vi.Cleaning the Vehicle;
vii.Performing other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

2.2.3 SALARY LEVEL

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR ALL APPLICANTS

i.All applicants must be Tanzanian Citizens aged between 18 and 45 years.
ii.Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and must specify their type of disability in the Recruitment System for information to the Secretary of Public Service Employment;
iii.Applicants for the Driver Grade II position with Class E or C licenses must ATTACH training certificates that qualified them to obtain the respective license classes.
iv.All applicants must attach a comprehensive Detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) with a reliable address, accessible phone numbers, and an Email address, together with names of three reliable referees.
v.Public Servants who are already employed in Internship positions should not apply and must adhere to the directives in Circular Letter No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated 30th November, 2010.
vi.All applications must be accompanied by certified copies of Academic and Professional Certificates (verified by a Lawyer/Attorney) which include Form IV or Form VI certificates for those who reached that level, and certificates for various trainings according to the job requirements. Postgraduate/ Degree/ Advanced Diploma/ Diploma/ Certificates, - Form IV and VI Certificates, -Computer Certificate, -Professional Certificates from Respective Boards.
vii.“Testimonials“, “Provisional Results“, “Statement of Results“, Form IV and Form VI Results Slips WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
viii.Applicants who studied abroad must ensure their Certificates have been verified and approved by the relevant Authorities (TCU, NECTA, and NACTE).
ix.Applicants who have retired from the Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have permission from the Chief Secretary;
x.Submission of forged information and credentials will lead to legal action against the involved parties.
xi.The deadline for submitting job applications is 26th November, 2025.
