1.1. Assistant lecturer (Agribusiness) - 1 post
1.1.1. DUTY STATION: MUST RUKWA CAMPUS COLLEGE
1.1.2. Duties and responsibilities
(i) To carry out lectures, conduct tutorials, seminars and practical sessions for undergraduate programs;
(ii) To prepare and present case studies;
(iii) To conduct and publish/disseminate research results;
(iv) To recognise students having difficulties, intervene and provide help and support;
(v) To participate in consultancies and community services under supervision;
(vi) To attend workshops, conferences and symposia; and
(vii) To perform any other duties that the relevant authorities may assign.
1.1.3. Qualifications
Holder of Master’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in Agribusiness, Agribusiness and Management Technology, Agricultural Economics, with a GPA of 4.0 out of 5 in master’s degree and a minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5 in the bachelor’s degree. In addition, an Unclassified Master’s degree by thesis/research only shall be considered if the applicant has a pass grade and has published at least two (2) papers in reputable peer-reviewed journals in a relevant field.

1.27.4. Remuneration: PUTS 2.1
MODE OF APPLICATION
All applications must be sent through Recruitment Portal by using the following address; http://portal.ajira.go.tz/ and not otherwise (this address also can be found at PSRS Website, Click ‘Recruitment Portal’)
GENERAL CONDITIONS
(i) All applicants must be Tanzania citizens of not above 45 years of age;
(ii) Applicants with disabilities are highly encouraged to apply and should indicate in the portal for MUST attention;
(iii) Applicants should apply on the strength of the information given in this advertisement;
(iv) Applicants must attach their certified copies of the following certificates:
Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates;
Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma transcripts;
Form IV and Form VI National Examination Certificates;
Professional Registration and Training Certificates from respective Registration or Regulatory Boards, (where applicable);
Birth certificate;
(v) Attaching copies of the following certificates is strictly not accepted:Form IV and Form VI results slips;
Testimonials and all Partial transcripts;
(vi) An applicant must upload a recent passport-size photo in the Recruitment Portal;
(vii) An applicant who is retired from the Public Service for whatever reason should not apply;
(viii) An applicant should indicate three reputable referees with their reliable contacts;
(ix) Certificates from foreign examination bodies for Ordinary or Advanced level education should be verified by the National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA);
(x) Certificates from foreign Universities and other training institutions should be verified by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) and the National Council for Technical Education (NACTVET);
(xi) Certificates from foreign Universities should bare a GPA calculated (out of five (5) grade points) by Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU);
(xii) A signed application letter should be written either in Swahili or English and addressed to the Vice Chancellor, Mbeya University of Science and Technology, P.O. Box 131 – Mbeya and uploaded in the Recruitment Portal by using the following address: http://portal.ajira.go.tz/ and not otherwise;
(xiii) Only shortlisted candidates will be informed on the date of interview;
(xiv) Presentation of forged certificates and other information will necessitate to legal action; and,
(xv) The Deadline for the application is 12th January 2026
