JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Executive Director of Ngorongoro District Council announces to qualified Tanzanians the opportunity to apply for fourteen (14) job vacancies in this Council after obtaining approval from the President’s Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance for the following analysis:

1.0 RECORDS MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT GRADE II – 3 POSTS

1.0.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

i. Recording incoming correspondence in a register.
ii. Recording outgoing correspondence from the institution in a register.
iii. Distributing files to action officers.
iv. Receiving files returned to the registry from action officers.
v. Searching for records/documents/files required by officers.
vi. Returning files to shelves/filing cabinets or other storage areas.
vii. Tracking the movement of files within the Institution.

1.0.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

A Form Four (IV) or Form Six (VI) certificate and a Diploma or NTA level 6 in Records Management from a Government-recognized college, along with computer skills.

1.1 DRIVER GRADE II – 6 POSTS

1.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

i. Inspecting the vehicle before and after trips and determining its safety condition.
ii. Transporting staff on official trips.
iii. Performing minor vehicle repairs and maintenance.
iv. Collecting and distributing various documents.
v. Maintaining and recording a “Logbook” for all trips.
vi. Cleaning the vehicle.
vii. Performing other duties as directed by the Supervisor.

1.1.2 QUALIFICATIONS FOR EMPLOYMENT

A Form Four certificate and a Class E or C Driving License held for at least one (1) year without causing an accident, along with training certificates qualifying them for the respective license classes. Must have attended a Basic Driving Course offered by VETA or another Government-recognized College.

1.2 OFFICE MANAGEMENT SECRETARY GRADE II – 5 POSTS

1.2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

i. Typing letters, notices, and routine and confidential documents.
ii. Receiving visitors, listening to their concerns, and directing them to the appropriate sections.
iii. Maintaining records and minutes of events, appointments, visitors, meeting dates, trips of the supervisor, and other work schedules.
iv. Searching for files and documents needed in the execution of duties.
v. Receiving files and distributing them to relevant Officers in the Department, Unit, and Section.
vi. Collecting, maintaining, and returning files and documents to the relevant sections.
vii. Organizing extracts and preparations for various meetings.
viii. Preparing a list of office equipment requirements.

1.2.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

Form Four or Form Six graduates with a Diploma in Secretarial Studies or NTA level 6 in Secretarial Studies. Must have passed Shorthand in Swahili and English at 100 w.p.m. and possess computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Email, and Publisher from a Government-recognized college.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

i. All applicants must be Tanzanian Citizens aged 18–45 years.

iii. Applicants must attach a detailed CV, reliable address, phone numbers, email, and names of three referees.
iv. All applications must include certified copies of Academic and Professional Certificates verified by an Advocate/Lawyer. These include:

  • Form IV or VI certificates
  • Certificates of completion of required trainings
  • Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates
  • Computer Certificates
  • Professional Certificates
    v. “Testimonial”, “Provisional Results”, “Statement of Results”, and Results Slips WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
    vi. Applicants with foreign certificates must ensure approval by TCU, NECTA, and NACTE.
    vii. Retired public servants cannot apply unless permitted by the Chief Secretary.
    viii. Applicants already employed in interim positions must not apply, following Circular No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 of 30 Nov, 2010.
    ix. Forged documents will result in legal action.
    x. Driver Grade II applicants with Class E or C licenses MUST ATTACH their Driving Training Certificates.
    xi. Applicants with different names must have a DEED POLL.
    xii. Deadline for application: 24 December, 2025.
