Job Purpose
To drive retail and merchant sales objectives of the Bank through proactive customer and merchant acquisition, selling bank accounts, merchant acquiring solutions (QR codes and POS devices), and salaried workers’ loans, while deepening customer relationships and maintaining operational excellence in line with Bank service standards.

Main Responsibilities
- Acquire new individual customers and merchants through appointments, referrals, and door-to-door canvassing within the assigned branch territory.
- Open bank accounts for new customers and ensure collection and submission of account opening fees to branches.
- Onboard merchants onto QR code payment solutions and drive activation and usage.
- Sell and support Merchant POS devices to SMEs and retail merchants, ensuring active transaction volumes.
- Market and sell salaried workers’ loans to eligible customers, including payroll-linked and parastatals penetration.
- Register customers on NMB Mkononi and educate them on self-service digital banking channels.
- Ensure all accounts, merchants, and loan applications meet KYC, credit, and compliance requirements as per Bank policies.
- Meet or exceed assigned weekly, monthly, and annual sales targets for accounts, merchant solutions, and loans.
- Generate leads, upsell, and cross-sell Bank products including deposits, payments, and lending solutions.
- Participate in sales campaigns, special projects, and promotional events.
- Build repeat business through continuous relationship management with customers and merchants.
- Provide market intelligence to management on customer needs, competitor activity, and pricing opportunities.
- Ensure proper safeguarding and use of working tools and marketing materials.
- Continuously enhance product knowledge and sales presentation skills while avoiding miss-selling.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge and Skills
- Proven direct sales and field sales capability.
- Knowledge of retail banking products, merchant acquiring (QR & POS), and retail lending products.
- Ability to sell to individual salaried employees.
- Strong customer relationship management and consultative selling skills.
- Ability to work outside banking halls with exposure to varying environmental conditions.
- Flexibility to work extended and non-standard hours.
- Strong attention to detail and compliance discipline.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (Word and Excel).
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Banking, Insurance & Risk Management, Marketing, or related fields.
- Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance will be an added advantage.

Job Purpose
Responsible for marketing Agri Retail products and services to grow assets and liabilities, generating leads, processing and assessing Agri-credit applications, and reviewing credit appraisals from Relationship Officers within the zone. The role also involves monitoring portfolio performance against budgets, ensuring compliance with quality standards, advising the Head of Agri Retail on business anomalies, and supporting product development initiatives for agribusiness customers.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare action plans to achieve assets and liabilities budget objectives for the assigned zone.
- Review and advise on pricing policies for Agri Retail loan products based on market feedback.
- Initiate and enhance customer engagement platforms such as business clubs, Agri Executive networks, and related Agri events.
- Monitor and supervise Agri Retail loans to ensure quality portfolio performance.
- Prepare periodic performance reports (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly).
- Plan and review marketing strategies for Agri Retail loan products.
- Ensure effective delivery processes for Agri Retail products and recommend improvements where necessary.
- Review complex credit appraisals prior to submission to the Credit Department.
- Assist branches and zones in preparing Agri Retail budgets.
- Train and coach Relationship Officers on best practices in Agri-credit assessment.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong knowledge of agribusiness economics, sector dynamics, and related laws.
- Sound understanding of Agri Retail banking products and agricultural value chains.
- Knowledge of banking operations, financial markets, and cross-selling opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience
