JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Nkinga Referral Hospital, located in Igunga District, Tabora Region, near the main Mwanza–Dodoma–Dar es Salaam highway (21 km from the road), invites applications from qualified, honest Tanzanian citizens with a heart for serving the community to fill the following positions:

  1. MEDICAL DOCTOR GRADE II – 5 POSITIONS

Job Responsibilities
• Provide medical treatment services for various diseases, including services for children and mothers, as well as routine and emergency surgery.
• Provide and supervise health education to the community and participate in improving community health in the work area.
• Investigate, monitor, and control disease outbreaks.
• Maintain and use health statistics according to MTUHA guidelines.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate health services in the work area.
• Teach students and supervise subordinate staff.
• Design and conduct medical research and disseminate its results.
• Prepare plans and budget estimates for health services.
• Participate in health service audits (Medical Audit & Quality Improvement).
• Provide outreach services in the relevant district/region.

Applicant Qualifications
• Must hold a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from a government-recognized institution.
• Must have completed Internship training.
• Must be registered with the Tanganyika Medical Council.
• Must have work experience of not less than one year.
• Must be a Tanzanian Citizen.
• Must have computer skills.

  1. NURSING OFFICER II – 3 POSITIONS

Job Responsibilities
• Provide nursing and preventive care services to patients and clients in the hospital.
• Provide counseling and health education.
• Prepare and supervise the implementation of the nursing services work plan.
• Participate in research and activities to improve service quality, including 5S and IPC.

Applicant Qualifications
• Must hold a First Degree in Nursing from a government-recognized institution and must have completed Internship training.
• Must be registered with the Tanzania Nurses and Midwives Council.
• Must be a Tanzanian Citizen.
• Must have computer skills.

  1. ASSISTANT NURSING OFFICER II – 10 POSITIONS

Job Responsibilities
• Provide nursing services to patients and clients in the hospital.
• Provide health education and counseling.
• Prepare and supervise the work plan for nursing services.
• Train fellow staff and students.

Applicant Qualifications
• Must hold a Nursing Diploma from a government-recognized institution.
• Must be registered with the Tanzania Nurses and Midwives Council.
• Must be a Tanzanian Citizen.
• Applicants with Critical Care experience will be given priority.
• Must have computer skills.

  1. NURSE ANAESTHETIST II – 2 POSITIONS

Job Responsibilities
• Provide anaesthesia and patient monitoring services.
• Provide health education and counseling.
• Prepare and supervise the work plan for anaesthesia services.
• Train fellow staff and nursing students.

Applicant Qualifications
• Must hold a Degree or Diploma in Nursing with at least one year of Anaesthesia training from a government-recognized institution.
• Must be registered with the Tanzania Nurses and Midwives Council.
• Must be a Tanzanian Citizen.
• Must have computer skills.

  1. RADIOGRAPHER II – 2 POSITIONS

Job Responsibilities
• Provide radiographic examination services according to area of specialization.
• Teach students and supervise subordinate staff.
• Participate in research aimed at improving disease examination techniques.
• Maintain accurate records of tests and results.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and departmental assets.

Applicant Qualifications
• Must hold a Diploma in the relevant field.
• Must be registered with the relevant Council.
• Must have computer skills.
• Must be ready to work according to professional ethics and principles.

VOLUNTEER POSITIONS
• Nursing Officer II – 5 Positions
• Assistant Nursing Officer II – 10 Positions
• Enrolled Nurse II – 6 Positions

Applicant Qualifications
• Must hold a Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in the relevant field.
• Must be registered with the relevant professional Councils.
• Nursing Officers must have completed Internship training.
• Must have computer skills.
• Must be ready to work according to professional ethics.
• Must be ready to be paid a volunteer allowance as set by the hospital.
• No work experience is required.
