Tanzania National Service (JKT) Recruitment Announcement
The following are the qualifications for applicants and the required equipment when reporting to the camps:
APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be a citizen of Tanzania.
• Age and Education Requirements:

Standard Seven (Tanzania Mainland) & Form Two (Zanzibar)
– Age: 16 to 18 years
– Must have completed education between 2022 and 2025
– Must possess an original Primary School Certificate or Form Two Certificate -
Form Four
– Age not exceeding 20 years
– Must have completed secondary education between 2022 and 2025
– Must possess an original Leaving Certificate and Academic Certificate
– Division I to IV accepted
– For Division IV, points must be between 26 and 32 -
Form Six
– Age not exceeding 22 years
– Must have completed education between 2022 and 2025
– Must possess an original Leaving Certificate and Academic Certificate
– Division I to IV accepted -
Diploma Holders
– Age not exceeding 25 years
– Must possess secondary school certificates and a college certificate -
Degree Holders (Bachelor’s)
– Age not exceeding 26 years
– Must possess secondary school certificates and a college certificate -
Master’s Degree Holders
– Age not exceeding 27 years
– Must possess secondary school certificates and a college certificate
• Must be in good health, of sound mind, and have no tattoos on the body.
• Must have good character and discipline, with no criminal record and must never have been imprisoned.
• Must have a National Identification Card (NIDA) or NIDA identification number.
• Must possess an original Birth Certificate.
• Must not have served in the Police Force, Prisons, Training Schools, Anti-Smuggling Squad (KMKM), or any other government department.
• Must not have attended previous JKT operations under Volunteer or Compulsory (Law) programs.
• Must not be involved in the use of drugs, marijuana, or similar substances.
• Note: Any youth found with forged documents will face severe legal action according to existing procedures.
REQUIRED ITEMS TO BRING TO JKT AFTER REGISTRATION
• Dark blue shorts with an elastic waist and one back pocket, knee-length, without a zipper.
– For girls: shorts must have elastic at the waist and at the leg hems.
• Sports shoes (sneakers) in green or blue.
• Two sea-blue bedsheets.
• Long black socks.
• Warm clothing (heavy clothes) for those posted to cold regions.
• Tracksuit in green or blue.
• Light green T-shirt with a round collar and no writing.
• Mosquito net in green or blue.
