CALL FOR VOLUNTARY ENLISTMENT INTO NATIONAL SERVICE TRAINING FOR THE YEAR 2026
The Chief of National Service, Major General Rajabu Mabele, informs all young people of Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar that opportunities are available to join National Service training on a voluntary basis for the year 2026.
The procedure for application and eventual selection to join the training is coordinated by the Offices of Regional and District Commissioners where the applicant resides. In addition, youth with professional qualifications in Diploma in Information Technology, Diploma in Business Information Systems, Diploma in Computer Science, Diploma in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Diploma in Cyber Security and Digital Forensics, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Business Information Technology, Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security and Digital Forensics, Bachelor of Science in Computer Networks and Information Security Engineering, as well as youth with talents in various sports, are encouraged to apply in large numbers through their respective Regions.
Interviews for the youth applying to join National Service training on a voluntary basis will begin on 26 January 2026 in all Regions of Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar. Selected candidates will be required to report to National Service camps from 27 February 2026 to 04 March 2026.
Furthermore, the National Service wishes to inform successful applicants that it does not provide employment, nor is it responsible for securing employment in institutions, defense and security organs, or various government and non-governmental organizations. Instead, it provides training that will enable youth to become self-employed after completing their contract with JKT.

The Chief of National Service, Major General Rajabu Mabele, welcomes all youth who will be selected to join their fellow youth in order to be instilled with patriotism, national unity, resilience, vocational skills, life skills, and readiness to build and serve their nation.
