The Bagamoyo African Institute of Sciences and Technology (BIST) registered by the National Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NACTVET) with Registration number REG/NACTVET/1185.The institute currently offering certificate and Diploma programs in Accountancy, Accounting and Finance, Banking and Finance, Business Administration and Transport and Supply Chain Management. - Vacant Positions: TUTORS – Veterinary Medicine x 1
Duty station: Bagamoyo
Job Purpose:
To deliver effective theoretical and practical training in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Health, ensuring students acquire the required competencies in line with NACTVET standards, while supporting curriculum implementation, practical skills development, and quality assurance.
Duties and Responsibilities
I. To teach up to NTA level 6 (Diploma) iscovering Minds
II. To prepare learning resources for tutorial exercises;
III. To conduct Research, Seminars, practical and case studies;
IV. To carry out Consultancy and community services under supervision; and
V. To supervise field Practical and NTA level 6 students’ projects
VI. To attend workshops, conferences and symposia
VII. To prepare teaching manual; and
VIII. To perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) from recognized Institutions and any other equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions. However, a person with at least 2years working experience in field, Postgraduate Diploma in Technical and Vocational Education Training or CBET Training will be an added advantage.

Duty station: Bagamoyo
Job Purpose:
To deliver effective theoretical and practical training in Animal Health and Production, Livestock Management and equipping students with the required skills and competencies while supporting curriculum implementation and quality assurance.
Duties and Responsibilities
I. To teach up to NTA level 6 (Diploma)
II. To prepare learning resources for tutorial exercises;
III. To conduct Research, Seminars, practical and case studies;
IV. To carry out Consultancy and community services under supervision; and
V. To supervise field Practical and NTA level 6 students’ projects
VI. To attend workshops, conferences and symposia
VII. To prepare teaching manual; and

Job Purpose:
To deliver effective theoretical and practical training in General Agriculture, equipping students with the required knowledge, skills, and competencies while supporting curriculum implementation and quality assurance.

4.Vacant Positions: TUTORS – Crop Production x 1
Duty station: Bagamoyo
Job Purpose:
The Tutor is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, practical instruction, and skills development in horticulture to students at different levels. The tutor also supports curriculum development, applied research, demonstration plots, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure training meets industry standards, sustainability principles, and institutional academic goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
I. To teach up to NTA level 6 (Diploma)
II. To prepare learning resources for tutorial exercises;
III. To conduct Research, Seminars, practical and case studies;
IV. To carry out Consultancy and community services under supervision; and
V. To supervise field Practical and NTA level 6 students’ projects
VI. To attend workshops, conferences and symposia
VII. To prepare teaching manual; and
VIII. To perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Crop Production or Agronomy from any recognized Institutions and any other equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions. Postgraduate Diploma in Technical and Vocational Education Training or CBET Training will be an added advantage.
- Vacant Positions: TUTORS – Mineral Processing x 2
Duty station: Bagamoyo
Job Purpose:
To deliver effective theoretical and practical training in Mineral Processing, ensuring learners acquire the required competencies in accordance with the approved curriculum and national training standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
I. Deliver theoretical and practical instruction in Mineral Processing courses in line with the
approved curriculum.
II. Prepare and maintain schemes of work, lesson plans, teaching notes, and practical manuals.
III. Conduct and supervise laboratory sessions, workshops, and plant-related practical training in a
safe and professional manner.
IV. Set, administer, mark, and moderate tests, assignments, examinations, and practical
assessments.
V. Monitor and evaluate student academic performance and prepare academic reports as required.
VI. Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations during all
training activities.
VII. Participate in the development, review, and implementation of CBET-based curricula.
VIII. Supervise students during industrial training, field attachments, and practical placements where applicable.
IX. Participate in departmental meetings, academic activities, and institutional development initiatives.
X. Perform any other academic or training-related duties as assigned by the institute management.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of metallurgy and Mineral Processing engineering from recognized Institutions and any other equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions. Postgraduate Diploma in Technical and Vocational Education Training or CBET Training will be an added advantage.

Job Purpose:
The Tutor is responsible for teaching, mentoring, and guiding students in the field of veterinary laboratory science, ensuring they acquire the necessary practical and theoretical knowledge to perform laboratory diagnostics, research, and animal health management effectively
Duties and Responsibilities
I. To teach up to NTA level 6 (Diploma)
II. To prepare learning resources for tutorial exercises;
III. To conduct Research, Seminars, practical and case studies;
IV. To carry out Consultancy and community services under supervision; and
V. To supervise field Practical and NTA level 6 students’ projects

Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology and Laboratory Science (BLS) from recognized Institutions and any other equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions. Postgraduate Diploma in Technical and Vocational Education Training or CBET Training will be an added advantage.
