ANNOUNCEMENT
The Director of Tanga City Council announces to the general public that the Council has teaching employment opportunities in its Government English Medium Schools, namely Darajani, Changa, and Saruji.
Therefore, applications are invited from all qualified teachers who are interested in teaching in Government English Medium Schools, including those who are currently employed and those who are unemployed, to apply for the available positions.
Applicant Qualifications:
- The applicant must possess a Diploma, Degree, or Master’s qualification.
- The applicant must have the ability to pass both a written test and an oral interview.
- Teachers currently working within Tanga City and unemployed teachers from within and outside Tanga City are eligible to apply.
Important Notes:
· All applicants will be tested in the subjects they are qualified to teach.
· Teachers currently working in the targeted schools, as well as teachers teaching in Government schools within Tanga City, will be tested without paying examination and interview fees.
· Other applicants will be required to pay an operational fee of Tsh. 10,000/= for this exercise.
· The employment will be on a contract basis.
· The written test and oral interview will be conducted on Saturday, 10/01/2026.
A good salary will be provided to applicants who will be successfully selected to teach in these schools.
