VOLUNTEER POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Morogoro Regional Referral Hospital announces volunteer positions for various cadres for a period of twelve (12) months as follows:
- CADRE – PHARMACEUTICAL TECHNOLOGIST (POSITIONS – 7)
(a) Qualifications for Appointment: Holders of a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a Government recognized College and who are registered with the relevant council.
DUTIES
(i) To order, prepare, and requisition medicines and medical supplies for his/her work area.
(ii) To dispense medicines and medical supplies to patients and staff.
(iii) To store medicines and medical supplies.
(iv) To educate the community on the proper use of medicines.
(v) To prepare reports on the use of medicines and medical supplies.
(vi) To maintain records of medicines and medical supplies.
(vii) To perform any other duties as assigned by his/her supervisor related to his/her education, experience, and skills.
- CADRE – ASSISTANT NURSING OFFICER (POSITIONS – 2)
Qualifications for Appointment: Holders of a Diploma in Nursing from a Government recognized College, registered with the Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council.
- CADRE – MEDICAL DOCTOR II (POSITIONS – 6)
Qualifications for Appointment: Holders of a Degree in Medicine from recognized Universities/Colleges who have completed internship and obtained registration from the Medical Council of Tanganyika.
DUTIES
(i) To perform all hospital medical work related to various diseases including pediatric diseases, maternal diseases, and routine and emergency surgery.
(ii) To investigate, monitor, and prevent disease outbreaks.
(iii) To maintain and use statistics as directed based on MTUHA (Health Management Information System) guidelines.
(iv) To participate in, review, and improve health services (medical audit and quality improvement).
(v) To perform any other duties as assigned by his/her supervisor related to his/her education, experience, and skills.
A. GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR HEALTH POSITIONS
Applicants must have:
(i) A professional certificate in the cadre studied from a Government recognized college.
(ii) Be registered with the relevant professional council.
(iii) Possess a valid professional license.
(iv) Possess a Form Four/Six certificate recognized by NECTA.
(v) Be a Tanzanian citizen aged at least 18 and not above 35 years.
(vi) Have two guarantors who are public servants.
(vii) Have never been convicted by a court for a criminal offense.
(viii) Have never been employed in any Public Institution since graduation.
B. GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPLICANTS
All applicants must meet the following general conditions:
(i) Possess complete certificates of training in the field studied (Form Four, Six, Professional, and Full Registration certificates) or a valid practicing license for the relevant profession.
(ii) Applications must be accompanied by the applicant’s Curriculum Vitae (CV).
(iii) Applications must be attached with copies of educational/professional certificates and birth certificate.
(iv) Testimonial result slips will not be accepted.
