The Minister for Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, Hon. Paul Makonda, has stated that the Ministry has been allocated TZS 2 billion to enable various online content creators to strengthen their work and increase their income through digital platforms.
He made the statement on January 29, 2026, in Dodoma City, explaining that the funds have been provided by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, with the aim of empowering all groups of content creators, including those in the Tourism, Sports, Information, Social Affairs, Music, Film, and other arts sectors.
He further explained that the registration of beneficiaries will officially begin from January 30 to February 15, 2026, during which content creators are required to visit District Council, Municipal, Town, and City Council offices through the Information Units to collect and fill out application forms, indicating their personal details and the activities they engage in.
