JOB SUMMARY
The role is responsible for serving Corporate customers at branches by providing professional and first-class services, ensuring all corporate customer needs are handled efficiently. Responsibilities include account opening, processing customer payment requests, handling complaints and queries, and responding to customer enquiries. The position is part of the Corporate Relationship Support Team and is expected to foster and sustain strong relationships with a portfolio of Corporate Banking customers.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Administrative and Operations Support
• Provide administrative and operational support in line with standard operating procedures.
Ad Hoc Duties
• Provide support to customers and team members as required to ensure consistent team performance.
Compliance and Risk Management
• Ensure all activities comply with control, compliance, and quality standards.
Administration
• Effectively perform administrative duties including tracking and reporting.
Sales and Services to Corporate Clients
• Ensure punctuality and availability of staff to clients at all times.
• Manage end-to-end payment processing for local and international transfers, including verification and submission to operations.
• Ensure all payments are processed within SLA and escalate issues promptly.
• Obtain approvals for exceptional client requests.
• Lead the team to ensure complaints and queries are logged in Salesforce and resolved within TAT.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and forward leads to Relationship Managers.
• Advise customers on applicable fees.
• Support KYC remediation and activation of dormant accounts.
• Ensure compliance with warning circulars, stop payments, and instructions.
• Manage and authorize payment instructions from clients.
• Oversee Documentary Collections and Letters of Credit processes.
• Communicate credit advice promptly to clients.
• Verify trade finance applications and ensure approvals are obtained.
• Ensure cheque book requests are authorized by mandated persons.
• Submit account opening and maintenance documents timely.
• Coordinate setup and changes to standing instructions.
• Coordinate special rates with Treasury for deposits and foreign exchange.
• Ensure immediate collection of manual fees as per tariff.
• Process inter-account transfers accurately.
• Resolve customer complaints and coordinate corrective actions.
• Identify service improvements and share recommendations.
• Support corporate sales strategies.
• Manage cost centre efficiency, budgets, leave planning, and travel claims.
• Participate in recruitment, approve leave, and ensure succession planning.
Risk Management
• Report risk events within 24 hours.
• Apply AML, sanctions, and confidentiality requirements.
• Enforce fraud prevention controls and proper documentation.
• Conduct performance reviews and disciplinary actions where required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Strong experience in Corporate Banking.
• Knowledge of NBC systems.
• At least 3 years’ experience in corporate payment processing.
• Ability to resolve client complaints effectively.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of 5 years’ banking experience in Corporate Banking.
