JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The District Executive Director of Kiteto District Council invites qualified Tanzanian citizens to apply for four (04) vacant posts after receiving approval from the President’s Office – Public Service Management and Good Governance, as detailed below:
OFFICE MANAGEMENT SECRETARY GRADE II – 04 POSTS
Duties and Responsibilities:
i. Typing letters, reports, and general as well as confidential documents.
ii. Receiving visitors, listening to their concerns, and directing them to the appropriate sections for assistance.
iii. Keeping records of events, appointments, visitors, meeting schedules, supervisors’ travel itineraries, and other work programs.
iv. Searching for files and documents required for the execution of duties.
v. Receiving files and distributing them to officers in relevant Departments, Units, or Sections.
vi. Collecting, keeping, and returning files and documents to the respective sections.
vii. Organizing minutes and making preparations for meetings.
viii. Preparing lists of required office equipment.
Qualifications of the Applicant:
To be eligible, an applicant must have a Form Four or Form Six education with a Diploma in Secretariat Studies or an NTA Level 6 Certificate in Secretariat Studies. The applicant must have passed Shorthand in both Kiswahili and English at a speed of 100 words per minute and possess knowledge of office computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, E-mail, and Publisher from a Government-recognized institution.
General Conditions:
i. All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years.
ii. Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and must indicate the nature of their disability in the online application system for record purposes.
iii. Applicants must attach a detailed Curriculum Vitae (C.V.) with reliable contact addresses, accessible telephone numbers, email address, and names of three reliable referees.
iv. Applicants must attach certified copies of academic and professional certificates verified by a Lawyer/Advocate, including Form Four or Form Six certificates, relevant training certificates, postgraduate/degree/advanced diploma/diploma/certificate qualifications, computer certificates, and professional registration certificates from relevant boards where applicable.
v. Submission of testimonials, provisional results, statements of results, or Form IV and Form VI result slips will not be accepted and such applicants will not be considered for interviews.
vi. Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must ensure their certificates are verified and validated by relevant authorities such as TCU, NECTA, and NACTVET.
vii. Retired public servants are not allowed to apply unless they have official permission from the Chief Secretary.
viii. Applicants already employed in temporary positions within the Public Service are not allowed to apply and must comply with Circular No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated 30th November, 2010.
ix. Any applicant who submits false information or forged qualifications will face legal action.
x. The deadline for submission of applications is 21st February, 2026.
