JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The District Executive Director of Mvomero District Council announces to qualified Tanzanians the availability of eight (8) job vacancies in this Council, following approval from the President’s Office – Public Service Management and Good Governance, as detailed below:
1.0 DRIVER GRADE II – 02 POSTS
1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Inspecting the vehicle before and after trips to determine its safety condition.
ii. Transporting staff to various places on official duties.
iii. Performing minor vehicle repairs.
iv. Maintaining and filling in the vehicle logbook for all trips.
v. Collecting and distributing various documents.
vi. Cleaning the vehicle.
vii. Performing any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
1.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
An applicant must have a Form Four (IV) education, possess a valid Class “C” or “E” driving licence, and have at least one (1) year of accident-free driving experience. The applicant must also have attended a Basic Driving Course from a Government-recognized training institution.

2.0 RECORDS ASSISTANT GRADE II – 02 POSTS
2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Registering incoming mail/letters in the incoming correspondence register.
ii. Registering outgoing mail/letters in the outgoing correspondence register.
iii. Distributing files to Action Officers.
iv. Receiving files returned from Action Officers.
v. Returning files to file racks, filing cabinets, or other storage areas.
vi. Tracking the movement of files within the institution.
2.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
An applicant must have a Form Four (IV) or Form Six (VI) education and possess a Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Records Management from a Government-recognized institution, with computer skills.

3.0 OFFICE MANAGEMENT SECRETARY GRADE II – 04 POSTS
3.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Typing letters, reports, and ordinary or confidential documents.
ii. Receiving visitors, presenting their issues, and guiding them on where to obtain assistance.
iii. Maintaining records of events, appointments, meeting dates, travel schedules of the Supervisor, and other work plans.
iv. Searching for files and documents required for work execution.
v. Receiving and distributing files to Officers in the relevant Department, Unit, or Section.
vi. Collecting, maintaining, and returning files and documents to relevant sections.
vii. Arranging extracts and preparing for meetings.
viii. Preparing lists of office equipment requirements.
ix. Performing any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
3.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
An applicant must have a Form Four (IV) or Form Six (VI) education with a Diploma in Secretarial Studies or an NTA Level 6 Certificate in Secretarial Studies from a Government-recognized institution. The applicant must have passed Shorthand in Kiswahili and English at a speed of 100 words per minute and possess training in office computer applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, E-mail, and Publisher from a Government-recognized institution.
