ANNOUNCEMENT OF ONE (1) VOLUNTEER POSITION
(FPCT) Usandawe Church, located in Takwa Village, Chemba District, Dodoma Region, serving children and youth from difficult circumstances in collaboration with , is pleased to announce one (1) volunteer position of FINANCE AND COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER for the Child and Youth Development Center TZ1814 – Takwa.
APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
Must possess a Diploma in Accounting, Business Management or a related field from a government-recognized college.
Must be female, a faithful born-again Christian with a life testimony reflected in daily living.
Must have knowledge of financial management, budgeting and expenditure analysis.
Must be willing and able to serve in a poor community living in vulnerable circumstances.
Must have a heart for loving children, church work and a passion for community development.
Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently.
Must not have been convicted of a criminal offense or child abuse.
Must have strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet usage.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE FINANCE AND COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER
The Finance and Communications Officer will be responsible for the following duties:
Collaborate with the Center Coordinator and other Child Development staff to prepare program plans and budgets and submit them to the Child Development Committee for verification and approval by church leadership.
Collaborate with the Coordinator to implement approved program plans and budgets.
Supervise and ensure all financial expenditures comply with approved budget lines and allocations.
Prepare and submit financial reports to the Child Development Committee, church leadership and Compassion International Tanzania as required.
Ensure proper maintenance and continuous improvement of all financial records.
Provide professional financial advice to the Center Committee and church leadership.
Ensure a safe and secure environment for children and youth participating in all center programs.
Supervise all banking transactions including deposits, withdrawals and monthly bank statement monitoring.
Enter, update and manage all financial data in Compassion International electronic systems.
Ensure procurement of goods such as children’s food, school uniforms and office supplies follows approved procedures and guidelines.
Maintain and update the fixed assets register and stock register and conduct regular inspections to prevent loss.
Coordinate and ensure timely payment of all approved expenses.

Copy of Birth Certificate and Marriage Certificate (if married).
Identification letter from the Pastor of the church the applicant attends.
Certificate of good conduct.

Applicants shortlisted for interviews must bring original certificates and the original identification letter from their pastor.
