DECCA College of Health and Allied Sciences (DECOHAS) is registered by the National Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NACTVET). The College is offering certificate and Diploma programs in Nursing and Midwifery, Laboratory Sciences and Technology, Veterinary Laboratory Technology, Animal Health and Production, Community Development, Laboratory Assistant, Social Work, Clinical Medicine, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Health Records and Information Technology, Food Technology and Human Nutrition and Agriculture Production. 1. Vacant Positions: Tutors – Urban and Regional Planning x 5
Duty station: Dodoma – Nala Campus
Job Purpose:
The Tutor is responsible for conducting high quality research and teaching the students of different level in the areas of Urban and Regional Planning. The role will focus on delivering high quality education in a variety of formats as well as research and enterprise activities. He/she will help to assist the college management to oversee continuous improvement in order to meet the academic goals accordingly.
Duties and Responsibilities:
i. To teach up to NTA level 6 (Diploma);
ii. To prepare learning resources for tutorial exercises;
iii. To conduct Research, Seminars and case studies;
iv. To carry out Consultancy and community services under supervision; and
v. To supervise students’ projects
vi. To prepare teaching manual; and
vii. To perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
Holder of Bachelor Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from recognized Institutions and any other equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions. However, a person with at least 2 years working experience in field, Postgraduate Diploma in Technical and Vocational Education Training or CBET Training will be an added advantage.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
i. The applicant with working experiences not less than 2 years in the same positions,
