Job Summary
The Sales Officer is responsible for growing the client base and building strong customer relationships by opening accounts for new customers, while developing, managing, and maintaining a profitable portfolio of both savings and credit clients.
Essential Duties
- Conduct sales drives and explain FINCA products and services to potential and existing clients.
- Open accounts for both savings and loan clients in the field or at the branch.
- Partner with the Branch Manager to develop daily, weekly, and monthly action plans for growing the client base, increasing loan disbursements, opening savings accounts, and building profitable customer relationships focused on individual performance goals.
- Market all FINCA products and services to potential clients using promotional tools and mechanisms approved by FINCA management.
- Submit quality loan applications to the Credit Department, manage customer relationships, understand client needs, and propose suitable financial solutions.
- Ensure clients have access to banking services by establishing and promoting agencies and other alternative delivery channels that provide quality and reliable services.
- Prepare and present sales and performance reports as required by the Branch Manager.
- Ensure all customer documentation is properly maintained and managed.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Business-related studies, Social Studies, Community Development, Finance, Economics, or any other relevant field.
- Experience in a client-facing sales role, the education sector, or the agricultural field is highly desirable.
- Basic mathematics and analytical skills, along with good writing, reading comprehension, and attention to detail.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Experience in micro-lending is an added advantage.
