JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The District Executive Director of Muheza District Council invites applications from qualified residents of Muheza for the position of Revenue Collector responsible for collecting produce levies, bus stand fees, and market stall fees within Muheza District Council. The appointment will be for a period of one year (12 months), renewable every three months based on performance, as follows:
1.0 REVENUE COLLECTOR (37 POSITIONS)
1.1 Applicant Qualifications
(a) Must have completed at least primary school education (Standard Seven) or higher.
(b) Must have experience using a smartphone or tablet.
(c) Must possess a National Identification Card (NIDA) or NIDA number.
(d) Must not be employed elsewhere and must not be a Public Servant.
1.2 Duties and Responsibilities
(a) Collect revenue using a Point of Sale (POS) machine and deposit the collected funds into the bank.
(b) Ensure proper care and maintenance of all revenue collection equipment.
(c) Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling government data and information.
(d) Record and maintain daily revenue collection statistics in the designated register.
(e) Ensure all collected revenue is deposited into the Council’s bank account and keep copies of deposit receipts.
1.3 General Conditions for Applicants
(a) Applications must be accompanied by copies of school completion certificates.
(b) Applications must include a copy of the National Identification Card (NIDA) or NIDA number.
(c) Applications must include a Curriculum Vitae (CV), full contact address, and details of two referees who should provide recommendation letters and their telephone numbers for communication purposes.
(d) The deadline for submitting applications is 24/06/2026 at 3:30 PM.
(e) Only qualified applicants will be invited for an interview.
