1. Head; Financial Institutions and DFIs (1 Position)

Job Purpose
Responsible for leading NMB's strategic engagement with Financial Institutions, correspondent banks, Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs), and International Organizations (IOs). The role focuses on growing and deepening institutional relationships to diversify the bank's funding sources, unlock trade finance limits, secure guarantees, and obtain technical assistance. The role also facilitates opportunities for NMB's management to share the bank's expertise within development finance and institutional partner networks.
Main Responsibilities
Business Strategic Focus
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with local and foreign correspondent banks, non-bank financial institutions, DFIs, MDBs, and IOs to develop and support business growth.
- Grow and diversify the FIs, DFIs, and MDBs client portfolio in terms of geographic locations, currencies (Nostro accounts), and investment philosophies.
- Negotiate lines of credit/limits to facilitate transactions across trade finance, money markets, foreign exchange, derivatives, cash, and capital markets products.
- Negotiate pricing on products and services to ensure market competitiveness.
- Cross-sell NMB's products and services to maximize business from each relationship.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all FIs, DFIs, and MDBs to ensure timely resolution of queries and complaints.
Funding
- Develop strategies to raise mid and long-term financing for the bank.
- Manage optimal growth in liabilities (borrowings) with diverse use of proceeds from new and existing clients.
- Manage existing loans from DFIs and MDBs and monitor factors to decide on early repayments, cancellation, renewal, or conversion.
- Coordinate and manage the end-to-end borrowing process from DFIs and MDBs, including approvals, due diligence, negotiation, and post-funding reporting.
- Work with Trading and ALM teams to hedge against significant financial risks (interest rates and exchange rates).
Partnerships and Investments
- Research and analyze investment policies and strategies of FIs, DFIs, MDBs, and IOs to identify collaboration opportunities.
- Facilitate potential equity partnerships between NMB and these institutions.
- Work with the Advisory and Strategy teams to arrange participation in investment opportunities, including public and private capital market transactions.
- Organize, co-arrange, and/or participate in local and international events and programs.
Thought Leadership & Technical Assistance
- Proactively identify and solicit technical assistance (TA) grants, capacity building programs, and advisory support for NMB and its business units in areas like sustainable finance, digital lending, and treasury operations.
- Manage the end-to-end engagement with DFI and MDB TA programs, from scoping to implementation and reporting.
- Identify and facilitate thought leadership opportunities for NMB's senior management to participate in panels, conferences, and forums.
- Coordinate the development and submission of NMB's success stories and case studies to knowledge platforms and reports.
- Work with Marketing and Communications to align external engagements with NMB's strategic narrative.
Operations Focus
- Work with the compliance department to ensure thorough performance of AML/KYC and due diligence on all related clients.
- Coordinate and manage responses to all KYC requests and due diligence processes on NMB.
- Manage the requirements of all Nostro and Vostro accounts to ensure compliance.
- Prepare credit limit proposals for new and existing clients for board approval.
- Ensure timely settlement of all obligations NMB owes its clients.
- Coordinate and manage meetings between NMB and its existing and potential clients.
- Ensure adherence to all pre and post-funding requirements and covenants.
Leadership & People Management Focus
- Oversee the implementation of the desk's strategy and provide clear direction to subordinates.
- Motivate, direct, coach, and inspire direct reports to achieve performance objectives.

Knowledge and Skills

Qualifications and Experience

- Professional certification in Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Credit Analysis, Sustainability, or Sustainable Finance is an added advantage.
- A minimum of 7 years' relevant experience, with at least 4 years in a senior managerial position.
- Demonstrated experience in engaging with local, regional, and global Financial Institutions (FIs), Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs), and other International Organizations (IOs) such as the UN, IMF, etc.
2. Manager; Credit Operations Unsecured Retail and Digital Products (1 Position)

Job Purpose
Responsible for overseeing the end-to-end disbursement process for all unsecured and digital retail credit facilities, ensuring efficient, timely, and compliant processing in line with internal policies and external regulations.
Main Responsibilities
- Oversee all digital product disbursements to ensure accuracy and efficiency while minimizing risks.
- Ensure loan disbursements are executed accurately and within agreed SLAs and turnaround times.
- Verify and authorize manually booked facilities, reversals, and restructured loans in the core banking system.
- Promote a culture of high ethical standards by ensuring strict adherence to the bank's values, policies, and regulatory requirements.

3. Specialist; Collateral Administration (1 Position)

Job Purpose
To ensure efficient and compliant administration of all collateral documentation under Collateral Management Agreements (CMA) structures. This includes verifying and fulfilling all credit-related Conditions Precedent before processing drawdown requests. The role coordinates end-to-end collateral management activities with internal and external stakeholders to support smooth drawdown processing and maintains accurate, up-to-date collateral records.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with credit approval and Conditions Precedents (CPs) for CMA facilities before submitting drawdown requests.
- Ensure all CMA documentation is complete, valid, and compliant.
- Verify and maintain the accuracy of CMA documentation, stock reports, insurance, and all collateral-related requirements.
- Monitor collateral quality through CMA stock reports and reconcile any variances.
- Maintain accurate collateral entries in the core banking system and Collateral Management Tool.
- Ensure compliance with CMA procedures, risk controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders such as auditors, regulators, and collateral managers when verification is required.

Job Purpose
Responsible for ensuring that risks related to IT Operations and Technology Third-Party Management are effectively and structurally managed, enabling the bank to make sound, risk-informed decisions that protect its overall risk posture.
Main Responsibilities
Risk Identification, Assessment & Evaluation
- Drive the identification of potential risks related to technology infrastructure and third-party relationships.
- Oversee technology third-party/vendor risks, ensuring governance, risk mitigation, and contractual compliance.
- Ensure key risks are documented with controls and relevant key indicators.
- Ensure business conducts Risk and Control Assessments (RCSAs) as per guidelines.
- Define the Risk Appetite Statement for Technology Infrastructure and third-party risks.

Qualifications and Experience
- University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Active professional certification in Technology Risk (e.g., CRISC, CISM) and at least one in Third Party or Outsourcing Risk (e.g., CTPRP, CSCRP, CVA) is preferred.
- At least three (3) years of combined IT and Risk experience with broad exposure to IT operations, systems analysis, and third-party risk oversight.
- Practical experience in data analysis, dashboard development, and exception reporting.
