JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Position: Electrician (8 Positions)
Reports to: Electrical and Water Equipment Manager
Duty Station: Nyanzaga Mine, Sengerema District.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Carry out preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, motors, switchgear, control panels, lighting systems, and other electrical equipment.
- Identify and diagnose electrical faults and carry out timely repairs.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Conduct electrical system testing and ensure all work complies with professional standards and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare reports on completed work.
- Comply with all health, safety, environmental, and company policies while promoting a strong workplace safety culture.
Education and Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Good understanding of industrial electrical systems, electrical equipment maintenance, and fault diagnosis.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications will be an added advantage.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and committed to maintaining high workplace safety standards.
Experience:
- At least one (1) year of work experience in a mining environment or other large industrial facilities.
