We are currently recruiting for the following positions:


POSITION 1: INSTRUMENTATION MECHANICIAN

Job Purpose

As an Instrumentation Mechanician, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks including the repair and maintenance of instrumentation systems, attending to planned and emergency duties, managing departmental relations, programming PLC and SCADA/HMI systems, and ensuring the efficient operation of our control instruments. Your role is vital to the success of our mining operations.

Reporting to: Head of Department
Location: Ruangwa, Lindi

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform various tasks related to the repair and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems, following specifications and instructions.
  • Attend to planned and emergency instrumentation and control duties in the section.
  • Manage relations with other departments.
  • Maintain, program, and troubleshoot PLC and SCADA/HMI programs.
  • Utilize expertise in optic fibre and wireless network systems.
  • Maintain and calibrate C&I plant instruments, including flow meters, scales, pH meters, analysers, etc.
  • Assist with ad hoc duties as requested by the Supervisor or Head of Department.
  • Adhere to all safety and health practices and promote good housekeeping consistently.

Key Requirements

  • Recognized Trade Diploma as a qualified Instrumentation Mechanician/Technician.
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-trade relevant work experience, preferably in the mining industry.
  • Experience/Knowledge working with Fault Finding, Process Automation and PID Control, Calibration of Field Instruments, SCADA/PLC, VSD/Soft Starter, Densitometer, Weigh Feeders, Level/Pressure Transmitters, Cable Joining and Termination (including fibre).
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety & Environment policies (i.e. working at heights, risk assessments).
  • Ability to lay out working details of assigned tasks.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Valid driver's license.

POSITION 2: OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH NURSE

Job Purpose

We are actively seeking a dedicated Occupational Health Nurse to join our team. As the Occupational Health Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the health and well-being of our workforce. This role is vital in promoting a healthy and safe working environment.

Reporting to: Head of Department
Location: Ruangwa, Lindi

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular health assessments and medical examinations for employees.
  • Provide medical treatment and emergency care as necessary.
  • Develop and implement occupational health and safety programs.
  • Manage health records, maintain confidentiality, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Offer guidance on health-related issues and preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with safety officers to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Participate in the company's wellness initiatives.
  • Utilize electronic health record systems and occupational health software for accurate data entry, reporting, and trend analysis.
  • Prepare incident and health statistic reports using computer applications.

Key Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with specialized training in Occupational Health.
  • Strong understanding of occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Valid nursing license.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Computer skills – Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experienced with Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Occupational Health Management Systems.
  • Emergency Response – Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Ability to perform basic health data analysis, identify trends, and recommend preventive measures.
  • Knowledge of health risk assessment methodologies and fitness-for-duty evaluations.
  • Experience working with diverse, multicultural teams, with sensitivity to local Tanzanian contexts.
  • Strong decision-making skills, especially when handling medical emergencies in a remote mine setting.
  • Familiarity with Tanzanian occupational health legislation and mining industry health standards.
