Heidelberg Materials Tanzania (Twiga Cement) is inviting qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the following positions:

POSITION 1: Laboratory Technician

Location: Twiga Cement Reports to: Laboratory Superintendent Application Deadline: 01st July 2026

Areas of Responsibility: As assigned

Specific Knowledge: Minimum of three (3) years working experience in a cement factory.

Main Duties

• Monitoring of all quality control routine activities from mining to packing plant by ensuring proper sample collection, analysis, test results record, interpretation and communication to responsible teams on time.

• Maintain laboratory methods and procedures for the chemical and physical section.

• Manage shift workers during assigned shifts and communicate feedback to the Supervisor/Quality and Process Manager.

• Advise on the maintenance and improvement of laboratory methods and procedures.

• Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements and company safety standards.

• Comply with HC Group Code of Business Conduct, Compliance Policies and Guidelines.

• Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Laboratory Technology, or a related field.

• Knowledge of chemistry and computer literacy.

POSITION 2: Maintenance Planner

Location: Twiga Cement Reports to: Maintenance Control Centre (MCC) Manager Application Deadline: 01st July 2026

Areas of Responsibility: As assigned

Specific Knowledge: Minimum of five (5) years working experience in a cement plant.

Main Duties

• Prepare routine and shutdown maintenance plans for equipment and provide reports for execution.

• Make operational decisions within assigned areas based on quality requirements and customer satisfaction.

• Utilize the EAM system to ensure proper implementation of Maintenance Improvement Programs (MIP), including Work Requests (WR), Work Orders (WO), spare parts, services, and related activities.

• Prepare and plan maintenance requests arising from inspection findings to ensure reported issues are resolved.

• Prepare Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) documents for project initiation.

• Initiate and implement programs aimed at reducing maintenance costs and improving efficiency.

• Conduct weekly Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and implement actions based on recommended solutions.

• Collaborate with other departments to integrate reliability principles into all aspects of operations.

• Prepare maintenance reports as required.

• Ensure compliance with HC Group Code of Business Conduct, Compliance Policies and Guidelines, as well as OSHA and statutory safety requirements.

• Perform any other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Knowledge of condition monitoring equipment and computerized maintenance management systems.

• Strong leadership skills.

• Proficiency in MS Project and other relevant planning tools.
