The Zanzibar Fighting Against Youth Challenges Organization (ZAFAYCO) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization committed to promoting social and economic development in Zanzibar.
ZAFAYCO is currently implementing the Economic Inclusion of Women and Youth Project, a World Bank-funded initiative aimed at improving economic opportunities and livelihoods for women and young people through skills development, entrepreneurship support, improved access to finance and markets, and the establishment of Youth Community Centres in Unguja and Pemba.
To support implementation of the project, ZAFAYCO invites applications from suitably qualified, experienced, competent, and motivated residents of Zanzibar to join the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) and project hub teams in Unguja and Pemba.
AVAILABLE POSITIONS
Join our dedicated team and help us implement the World Bank-funded Economic Inclusion of Women and Youth Project.
- Project Coordinator – 1 Post
• Master's degree in Project Management, Public Administration, Economics, Development Studies, Engineering, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• At least six (6) years of relevant professional experience in project management, including experience coordinating donor-funded projects.
• Experience working on World Bank-financed projects will be an added advantage.
- Financial Management Specialist – 1 Post
• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• At least four (4) years of relevant experience in financial management, accounting, or auditing.
• Experience managing financial functions of donor-funded projects is required.
- Finance Officer – 1 Post
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or financial management.
• Experience working with donor-funded projects will be an added advantage.
- Procurement Specialist – 1 Post
• University degree in Procurement, Law, Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Professional procurement qualification such as CPSP, CIPS, MCIPS, or equivalent is an added advantage.
• At least ten (10) years of relevant experience in procurement management.
• At least five (5) years of experience managing procurement under World Bank-financed projects.
- Procurement Officer – 1 Post
• Bachelor's degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Public Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• Professional procurement qualifications such as CPSP, CIPS, MCIPS, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, contract administration, or supply chain management.
- Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist – 1 Post
• University degree in Statistics, Economics, Public Policy, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation of development programmes or projects.
• Strong experience in data analysis, reporting, and performance monitoring.
- Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer – 1 Post
• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Monitoring and Evaluation, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Data Management, or a related field.
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation, research, data management, or project performance tracking.
- Environmental and Social Specialist – 1 Post
• University degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Management, Social Sciences, Sociology, Development Studies, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
• At least five (5) years of relevant experience in environmental and social risk management, safeguards, stakeholder engagement, or community development.
- Internal Auditor – 1 Post
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
• At least five (5) years of relevant experience in internal auditing, risk management, compliance, or financial oversight.
- ICT Officers – 2 Posts (Unguja & Pemba)
• University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience in ICT systems management, network administration, database management, or technical support.
- Administration Officers – 2 Posts (Unguja & Pemba)
• University degree or Higher National Diploma in Business Administration, Public Administration, Office Management, Human Resource Management, or a related field.
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience in office administration, logistics, or operational support.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Hub Managers – 2 Posts (Unguja & Pemba)
• University degree in Project Management, Public Administration, Development Studies, Economics, Social Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least five (5) years of relevant professional experience in project management, regional coordination, community development, or local governance programmes.
• Experience working with donor-funded projects will be an added advantage.
