Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Formulate and implement business planning for corporate segments in line with corporate strategy.
  • Design and implement corporate data strategy and own the Fixed Data revenue stream to grow the segment.

Revenue Management

  • Accurately forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams.
  • Develop proposals for corporate and multinational growth.
  • Analyze business opportunities and set priorities accordingly.

Performance & Budget Management

  • Initiate and monitor performance, taking corrective action as required.
  • Liaise with budgeting and reporting teams to formulate a draft segment budget.
  • Set targets for direct reports.

Program Management

  • Establish and manage effective programs for:
    • New account sales.
    • Retention activities for Corporate and Multinational clients.
    • Enhancement of professional service revenue.
    • Sales of emerging products and services.
    • Proactive competitive strategies.
    • Targeted sales campaigns.
    • Management of department expenses.

Team Leadership

  • Manage, develop, and motivate staff.
  • Oversee team activities, hiring, coaching, appraisals, rewards, and disciplinary processes.
  • Guide the corporate and multinational team in the science and art of Corporate Sales.

Stakeholder Management

  • Discuss strategic issues with executive management.
  • Maintain expertise in the company’s products and services to effectively manage sales activities.
  • Stay up to date with all sales and marketing activities within Airtel and among competitors.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Degree in Marketing or Business Administration from a recognized university or college.
  • MBA is an added advantage.

Experience

  • 8–10 years of experience in Corporate Sales within the Telecom, Banking, or Manufacturing industries.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior management role.
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry is desirable.
