VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT ANNOUNCEMENT
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AT THE BEEKEEPING TRAINING INSTITUTE – TABORA
The Principal of the Beekeeping Training Institute – Tabora hereby announces volunteer opportunities for qualified Tanzanian graduates who meet the requirements specified for the respective positions.
- College Storekeeper – 1 Position
1.1 QUALIFICATIONS FOR VOLUNTEERS: i. Must be a Tanzanian citizen aged between 18 and 35 years; ii. Must be a graduate holding a Certificate, Diploma, or Degree from a Government-recognized institution; iii. Must possess valid academic certificates; iv. Must have two guarantors who are Public Servants; v. Must have a letter from the Village/Street/Local Government Executive Officer; vi. Must be willing to volunteer in the designated area; vii. Must not have been convicted by any court of law for criminal or disciplinary offences; viii. Must possess good conduct and character acceptable to society; and ix. Must not have been employed by any Public Institution since graduation.
1.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: i. Maintaining the store and its equipment; ii. Supervising and coordinating store operations; and iii. Keeping records of items received into and issued from the store.
- Beekeeping Assistant – 1 Position
2.1 QUALIFICATIONS FOR VOLUNTEERS: i. Must be a Tanzanian citizen aged between 18 and 35 years; ii. Must be a graduate holding a Certificate, Diploma, or Degree from a Government-recognized institution; iii. Must possess valid academic certificates; iv. Must have two guarantors who are Public Servants; v. Must have a letter from the Village/Street/Local Government Executive Officer; vi. Must be willing to volunteer in the designated area; vii. Must not have been convicted by any court of law for criminal or disciplinary offences; viii. Must possess good conduct and character acceptable to society; and ix. Must not have been employed by any Public Institution since graduation.
2.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: i. Supervising and maintaining bee colonies and apiaries; ii. Participating in harvesting bee products; iii. Collecting data on production and colony development and submitting reports to the supervisor; iv. Planting and maintaining flower gardens utilized by bees; v. Assisting instructors in conducting practical training; and vi. Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Electrical Technician – 1 Position
3.1 QUALIFICATIONS FOR VOLUNTEERS: i. Must be a Tanzanian citizen aged between 18 and 35 years; ii. Must be a graduate holding a Certificate, Diploma, or Degree from a Government-recognized institution; iii. Must possess valid academic certificates; iv. Must have two guarantors who are Public Servants; v. Must have a letter from the Village/Street/Local Government Executive Officer; vi. Must be willing to volunteer in the designated area; vii. Must not have been convicted by any court of law for criminal or disciplinary offences; viii. Must possess good conduct and character acceptable to society; and ix. Must not have been employed by any Public Institution since graduation.
3.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: i. Inspecting and reporting technical faults in electrical systems; ii. Handling minor electrical system faults and repairs; iii. Carrying out electrical installations and minor maintenance works; iv. Monitoring and verifying electricity bills; and v. Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
