Position 1: Branch Manager (Mwanza)
Amana Bank is currently seeking a qualified Branch Manager to be based in Mwanza.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Grow customer base, deposits, financing book, and profitability as per set targets.
- Ensure the liquidity position of the branch is maintained through advance planning at minimal cost.
- Monitor and control branch costs.
- Ensure branch compliance with existing banking regulations.
- Ensure adherence to KYC and AML requirements at all times.
- Ensure compliance with the bank's policies and procedures.
- Maintain low risk and audit ratings for the branch.
- Coach team members to proactively maximize opportunities and provide exceptional customer service.
- Motivate staff to achieve branch goals.
- Serve as Chairperson of the Branch Management Financing Committee.

Reports to: Head of Retail Banking
Position 2: Sharia and Products Manager (Headquarters)
Amana Bank is currently seeking a qualified Sharia and Products Manager to be based at the Headquarters.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Sharia & Products in reviewing policies and manuals annually.
- Prepare and review financing contract packages, forms, and other required documents.
- Prepare product papers, Sharia Supervisory Board (SSB) papers, and Board papers on time.
- Ensure profit is fairly distributed to depositors in accordance with the Profit Distribution Model (PDM).
- Prepare product easy guides.
- Conduct research on Sharia aspects for each product, fatwa, or Sharia-related issue before presentation to the Sharia Supervisory Board.
- Provide guidance to staff and clients on Islamic banking and financing instruments and related guidelines.
- Proactively identify product issues and resolve them promptly.
- Analyze Islamic products and services available in the market and identify opportunities for the bank.
- Train bank staff and ensure business and financing teams possess adequate knowledge for efficient product implementation, documentation, pricing, and processing.
- Keep the bank updated on new Sharia requirements and decisions issued by the SSB and international bodies such as AAOIFI, OIC Fiqh Academy, and IFSB.
- Represent the bank in internal and external meetings, forums, events, and customer engagements.
- Support the marketing department by reviewing communication content, promotional materials, and social media content to ensure compliance with Sharia principles.
- Support financing management and branches to ensure financing facilities are issued in accordance with product manuals and Sharia principles.
- Follow up to ensure inventories are sold promptly before being used or sold by customers.
- Assist in developing new products and enhancing existing products.
- Prepare training materials and coordinate Sharia & Products training programs.
- Support Sharia compliance activities across the bank.
- Conduct product performance assessments and prepare quarterly performance reports.
- Administer Charity and Zakat Fund activities.
- Support the marketing department in promoting Islamic banking knowledge through various media platforms.

Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Islamic Banking and Finance, or Degree in Banking, Finance, or Commerce with an additional Certification or Diploma in Islamic Banking and Finance.
- Professional qualification in Islamic Banking, Shariah (Jurisprudence), or Islamic Studies will be an added advantage.
