Position: Medical Doctor (2 Posts)
St. Francis Regional Referral Hospital is inviting qualified, competent, and motivated candidates to apply for the position of Medical Doctor. Successful candidates will join a dedicated healthcare team committed to delivering quality medical services to patients.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Examine, diagnose, and manage patients with various medical conditions.
- Prescribe appropriate medications and treatment plans according to national clinical guidelines.
- Admit, review, and discharge patients as required.
- Perform emergency medical procedures and provide life-saving interventions when necessary.
- Refer patients to specialists or higher-level facilities when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records.
- Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and emergency services.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, treatment, and healthy lifestyle practices.
- Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
- Adhere to professional ethics, hospital policies, and standards of medical practice.
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Holder of a Bachelor's Degree in Medicine from a recognized institution.
- Registered by the Medical Council of Tanganyika (MCT) with a valid practicing licence.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in medicine.
