We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the following positions:
1. RELATIONSHIP MANAGER – MICRO SME
Location: Head Office – NBC
Job Summary: Responsible to drive business growth from Micro-Small & Medium Enterprises (Micro-SMEs) Segment in-line with Bank’s Policy, Procedures and Strategy.
Key Accountabilities:
Business Growth:
- Develop and maintain business relationship with existing and potential customers and act as Bank’s key contact person to Micro-SME customers.
- Assist branches to identify, negotiate business opportunities to grow business portfolio.
- Initiate and conduct customer engagements such as focus groups, customer forums, workshops.
- Manage sales leads through the entire funnel.
- Support branches in credit structuring and appraisal of Micro-SME loan applications.
- Review loan portfolio and recommend appropriate interventions.
- Support branches to solicit deposits from Micro-SME customers.
- Explore, initiate and nurture emerging business leads/opportunities.
- Monitor and ensure Micro-SME loan portfolio quality.
Product Development:
- Collaborate with Product team in enhancing and developing new products.
- Review performance and recommend corrective measures.
- Review and advise on proper pricing.
- Develop and maintain a product catalogue.
Risk Management:
- Participate in review of Credit Policy, Procedure Manuals.
- Address Risk, Compliance or Audit issues.
- Ensure compliance with Micro-SME procedures.
- Assist branches to monitor performance of Micro-SME portfolio.
2. RELATIONSHIP MANAGER – AGRI BUSINESS
Location: Head Office – NBC
Job Summary: Responsible for growing the Asset Financing book through new business acquisition, processing and assessing asset financing credit applications from branches, putting forward proposals for Asset Financing development, and ensuring the booking of quality Asset Financing loans.
Key Accountabilities:
Business Growth:
- Driving Asset Financing growth and value through identification and development of new commercial engagements.
- Liaise with all stakeholders including clients, dealers, suppliers, government institutions, insurance companies and other financial institutions.
- Work with teams at branch and Head Office level.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the Asset Financing market in Tanzania.
- Develop business cases and proposals.
- Update and advise clients on Asset Financing products, pricing and fees.
- Provide leadership on Asset Financing strategy development.
- Supervise and provide guidance to branch teams on management of stressed Asset Financing assets.
Product Development:
- Team up with Product Development team in developing new Asset Financing products.
- Develop and maintain Asset Financing product catalogue.
- Monitor effectiveness of products.
- Review and advise on product pricing.
Risk Management:
- Respond to queries related to Asset Financing.
- Ensure compliance with Asset Financing guidelines.
- Monitor performance of Asset Financing loans monthly.
- Work closely with branches to ensure adherence to all terms and conditions.
Education and Experience Required:
- Holder of a first degree or its equivalent in Agricultural Economics & Agribusiness, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Economics, Accounting, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least three years’ experience in Asset Financing, credit, relationship management, or a related banking field.
- Sound experience in Asset Financing, including vehicle, equipment, machinery and other movable asset financing structures.
- Good deal-making, structuring and collaboration experience.
Skills Required:
- Selling, negotiation and presentation skills.
3. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Location: Mbinga Service Centre
Job Summary: Recruitment and Management of borrowing customers under Micro-SME segment (Kua Nasi, Agriculture & LaRiba) and ensure growth of quality loan portfolio as per Bank’s Credit policy and Product Procedure Manuals.
Key Accountabilities:
Growth of Quality Loan Portfolio:
- Onboarding of eligible borrowing customers.
- Follow up on pipelines/sales leads to ensure maturity within agreed TAT.
- Identify, explore, and negotiate business opportunities with existing and new customers.
- Engage with external and internal business stakeholders.
Credit Underwriting Functions:
- Receive and review Credit applications and ensure compliance to approved checklist.
- Liaise with CRC members to ensure eligible customers are visited.
- Assessment of Micro-SME credit applications.
- Ensure all credit applications forwarded to HQ were reviewed by CRC.
- Attend/address all issues or queries raised by HQ.
Loan Portfolio Management:
- Ensure approved loans adhere to approved terms and conditions.
- Ensure post disbursement business visits.
- Ensure customers’ visits and reports.
- Ensure proper documentation and record keeping.
- Facilitate timely renewal/refinancing.
- Review loan portfolio and recommend appropriate interventions.
- Help branch to devise turnaround or recovery measures.
Deposit Mobilization & Cross Selling:
- Mobilize deposits from new and existing Micro-SME customers.
- Cross selling of Bank’s existing and new products & services.
Capacity Building:
- Conduct mass marketing/training with customers.
- Conduct product awareness sessions.
Relationship Management & Advisory Function:
- Develop and maintain business relationships with customers.
- Advise customers on various business or lending requirements.
Reporting & Meeting Attendance:
- Compulsory attendance at CRC, Loan delinquency and collections meetings.
- Preparation and submission of standard periodic reports.
4. RELATIONSHIP MANAGER – PRIVATE BANKING
Location: Zanzibar Branch – NBC
Job Summary: To develop and grow relationships with Affluent customers, and growing the customer base through targeted sales efforts and the delivery of impeccable service. Delivers a high level of service and personal attention to the Bank’s quality customers, with the aim of developing significant sales and new business and providing a high level of retention of existing clients business.
Key Accountabilities:
Solution Sales & Relationship Management:
- Achieve agreed sales target for customers (upgrades and new to bank), new accounts, assets and liabilities.
- Conduct a detailed need analysis for all existing and potential customers.
- Ensure proactive selling of alternative delivery channels.
- Offer packaged financial solutions based on detailed assessment.
- Increase product penetration for existing customer base.
- Conduct financial planning for customers.
- Continuously monitor utilization of credit facilities and investment avenues.
- Manage banking relationships for portfolios of high-net-worth customers which may include senior local political figures and well known business people.
- Conduct regular customer visits and motivate focused social events.
- Take accountability for the relationship with the Client.
- Manage own calling program.
- Compile monthly report on calling programs and sales progress.
Customer Experience:
- Monitor operational delivery of customer requirements.
- Log complaints and action general queries.
- Always provide quality and professional service and support to customers.
