RESULTS OF LOAN APPLICATIONS THROUGH THE YOUTH EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME (LIVESTOCK AND FISHERIES SECTORS)
The Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries wishes to inform the public that following the announcement of concessional loans for youth made on 4th March, 2026, under the Youth Economic Empowerment Programme in the Livestock and Fisheries Sectors, the analysis and evaluation of the submitted loan applications has been completed for the first phase.
The Ministry extends its sincere appreciation to all youth across the country for the overwhelming response and participation demonstrated through the submission of loan applications.
Following the completion of the evaluation process, the Ministry hereby announces the list of applicants who have successfully met the criteria for receiving loans in this phase. At the same time, the Ministry continues to analyze the remaining applications in order to identify additional beneficiaries who will receive loans in subsequent phases.
All successful applicants whose names appear on the approved list are required to attend mandatory skills and project management training relevant to the projects they proposed in their loan applications. The training will be conducted at the respective regional levels from 29th July to 5th August, 2026.
The Ministry, in collaboration with the Regional Secretariats and Local Government Authorities, will coordinate the participation of all beneficiaries in the training sessions. Beneficiaries are required to bring copies of their original identification documents when attending the training.
