JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT FOR VOLUNTARY CONTRACT POSITIONS
The Executive Director of Mbeya Zonal Referral Hospital invites qualified and interested Tanzanian citizens to apply for voluntary contract employment opportunities at Mbeya Zonal Referral Hospital in the following positions:
1.0 NURSING OFFICER II – 19 POSTS
(a) Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Bachelor Degree in Nursing from a Government-recognized university, have completed internship training, and be registered with the Tanzania Nurses and Midwives Council.
(b) Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Providing nursing care services to patients.
(ii) Collecting important health statistics.
(iii) Guiding and supervising nurses under his/her supervision.
(iv) Providing counseling services.
(v) Preparing work plans for nursing services.
(vi) Providing preventive and reproductive health services.
(vii) Educating patients and the community.
(viii) Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor related to his/her education, experience, and skills.
2.0 ASSISTANT NURSING OFFICER II – 38 POSTS
(a) Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Diploma in Nursing from a Government-recognized college and be registered with the Tanzania Nurses and Midwives Council.
(b) Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Providing nursing care services.
(ii) Collecting important health statistics.
(iii) Guiding nurses under his/her supervision.
(iv) Educating patients and the community about their health problems.
(v) Providing preventive and reproductive health services.
(vi) Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor related to his/her education, experience, and skills.
4.0 RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST II – 1 POST
(a) Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Diploma in Radiology from a Government-recognized institution and be registered with the Radiology Council.
(b) Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Performing all duties of a Radiographer Grade II.
(ii) Conducting disease investigations using specialized radiological examinations.
(iii) Conducting disease investigations using specialized imaging modalities.
(iv) Preparing contrast agents for radiological examinations.
(v) Training staff under his/her supervision.
(vi) May be assigned to coordinate radiology activities at the district level.
(vii) Preparing work plans in his/her area of responsibility.
5.0 MORTUARY ATTENDANT – 2 POSTS
(a) Qualifications
(i) Must have completed Form Four education or above.
(ii) Must have training in mortuary services.
(b) Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Receiving and preserving deceased bodies.
(ii) Cleaning, preparing bodies, and handing them over to relatives.
(iii) Assisting with postmortem procedures.
(iv) Managing records and documentation.
(v) Managing and maintaining equipment.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
(i) The applicant must be a Tanzanian citizen.
(ii) The applicant must demonstrate discipline, integrity, and commitment to work.
(iii) The applicant must be ready to work under a VOLUNTARY CONTRACT AGREEMENT.
