ANNOUNCEMENT TO ALL CITIZENS
The Executive Director of Mbogwe District Council announces to all citizens who qualify to apply for temporary employment positions of Revenue and Tax Collectors (Temporary Revenue Collectors) at revenue collection points within Mbogwe District which are Lugunga barrier, Ishigamva barrier, Mbogwe barrier, Mkweni barrier, Ivumwa barrier, Lulemebla barrier, Kashelo barrier, Lulemebla bus stand and Masumbwe and Nyakafulu stations (for parking fees) and Masumbwe slaughterhouse. The positions are as follows;
A. REVENUE AND TAX COLLECTOR – 13 POSITIONS
B. RESERVE FORCE SOLDIER – 5 POSITIONS
C. MASUMBWE SLAUGHTERHOUSE GUARD – 1 POSITION
A. REVENUE AND TAX COLLECTOR – 13 POSITIONS
- JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Collecting all taxes and revenues of the Council (crop tax, billboard tax, business licenses, gate and market taxes);
ii. Issuing valid electronic receipts (POS/EFD) for every payment transaction collected;
iii. Safeguarding and timely banking of all funds collected through the Control number;
iv. Sensitizing citizens and traders to pay taxes voluntarily;
v. Preparing and submitting to the Director daily, weekly, and monthly collection reports;
vi. Performing other duties as assigned by the Revenue Supervisor or the Head of the Finance and Accounting Department.
- APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS
i. Must be a Tanzanian aged between 18 and 35 years.
ii. Must have Form IV or VI education with good grades.
iii. Must have skills in using POS machines and electronic revenue collection systems.
iv. Must be honest, upright, and hardworking.
v. Must be ready to work in any environment within Mbogwe District (Markets, Barriers, and bus stations) including evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays.
vi. Residents of Mbogwe District will be given priority.
B. RESERVE FORCE SOLDIER – 5 POSITIONS
- JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Providing security to revenue collectors during collections.
ii. Assisting in controlling tax/revenue evaders.
iii. Conducting patrols and joint raids with the revenue team.
iv. Assisting in the protection of Council properties.
v. Collecting vehicle parking fees.
vi. Other duties as assigned by the Revenue Supervisor and Head of the Finance and Accounting Department.
C. MASUMBWE SLAUGHTERHOUSE GUARD – 1 POSITION
MAJUKUMU YA KAZI (JOB RESPONSIBILITIES)
-
Providing security at the Masumbwe slaughterhouse.

Assisting in controlling tax/revenue evaders.
-
Conducting patrols and raids at the Masumbwe slaughterhouse.
-
Assisting in the protection of Council properties.
-
Collecting taxes and other duties as assigned by the Slaughterhouse Supervisor and Head of the Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries Department.

APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS
i. Must be a Tanzanian aged 18–35 years.
ii. Form IV education and above.
iii. Must have completed Reserve Force or JKT training.
iv. Must be in good health, strong, and highly disciplined.
v. Must be ready to work day and night and wherever assigned.
vi. Must have no criminal record and have a good conduct letter from the Village Executive Officer.
vii. Must be a permanent resident of Mbogwe District Council.
- GENERAL EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
i. Employment is TEMPORARY/CONTRACTUAL for 6 to 12 months and may be extended depending on work performance.
ii. Payment is by Allowance/Contract Salary in accordance with collections and the Council's Budget.
iii. Applicants must be ready for practical assessment and interviews.
iv. Subsistence and transport costs during the interview are the applicant's own responsibility.

Furthermore, you are required to attach;
a) Copies of academic and professional certificates.
b) Copy of birth certificate.
c) Copy of NIDA or NIDA number.
d) 1 passport photo.
e) For Reserve Force Soldiers – copy of Reserve Force or JKT training certificate.
