ANNOUNCEMENT OF TEACHER TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE DIPLOMA IN PRIMARY AND PRE-PRIMARY EDUCATION FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2025/2026

Phase Two

1. INTRODUCTION

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST) announces opportunities for Teacher Training Programs for the Diploma in Primary and Pre-Primary Education. The programs offered include:

  • Diploma in Primary and Pre-Primary Education (2 years)
  • Special Diploma in Primary Education (3 years) for Science and Mathematics subjects.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants for the Diploma in Primary and Pre-Primary Education (2 years) must be Form Six graduates with a Division I-III and two Principal Passes. Those who studied Economics, Commerce, or Book Keeping should apply for the Pre-Primary Education Diploma. Certified teachers (Certificate level) in Primary or Pre-Primary Education may also apply.
  • Applicants for the Special Diploma in Primary Education (3 years) must be Form Four graduates with Division I-III and at least a "C" grade in three subjects, two of which must be from: Basic Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Information and Computer Studies, or Computer Science.

Training will be conducted at Government and Non-Government Teacher Training Colleges. The Ministry welcomes applications for both types of institutions, provided applicants meet the specified criteria.

2. TRAINING PROGRAMS AND COLLEGES

A. DIPLOMA IN PRIMARY AND PRE-PRIMARY EDUCATION (2 YEARS)

  1. Diploma in Primary Education (Social Sciences in Kiswahili)

    • Government Colleges: Mhonda, Murutunguru, Ngorongoro, Vikindu.
    • Non-Government Colleges: Al Harmain, Darmiki, Nyamwezi, Montessori Kawekamo, St. Aggrey Chanji, Mong’are, Lake, Bishop Daniel, King Rumanyika, Kilimanjaro Modern, Tusaale, Kirinjiko, King’ori.

  2. Diploma in Primary Education (Social Sciences in English)

    • Government Colleges: Mpuguso, Shinyanga.
    • Non-Government Colleges: UCA, Lake.

  3. Diploma in Primary Education (Social Sciences and Kiswahili Language in Kiswahili)

    • Government Colleges: Bunda, Tandala.
    • Non-Government Colleges: St. Aggrey, Sila, St. Marys, Coast, Green Bird, Nazareth, Teki, St. Maurus, Arafah, Kisongo, Mwl. Franz, St. Francis Nkindo, Sahara, Mbeya Moravian, Rukwa, Ebonite, Arusha, DC Brilliant, Mtumba, Musoma Utalii, Lua, Partage Montessori.

  4. Diploma in Primary Education (Science and Mathematics in English)

    • Government Colleges: Ndala, Mandaka, Mamire.
    • Non-Government Colleges: UCA.

  5. Diploma in Primary Education (Science and Mathematics in Kiswahili)

    • Government Colleges: Kitangali, Bustani, Ngorongoro, Sumbawanga.
    • Non-Government Colleges: St. Aggrey, Sila, St. Marys, Coast, Green Bird, Tofilo Kisanji, St. Maurus, Arafah, Kisongo, Mwl. Franz, St. Francis Nkindo, Nyamwezi, Sahara, Mbeya Moravian, Rukwa, Ebonite, Arusha, DC Brilliant, Mtumba, Montessori Kawekamo, Musoma Utalii, Al Harmain, St. Aggrey Chanji, Lake, Bishop Daniel, King’ori, Kirinjiko, King Rumanyika, Kilimanjaro Modern, Partage Montessori.

  6. Diploma in Pre-Primary Education (in English)

    • Government Colleges: Dakawa, Nachingwea.
    • Non-Government Colleges: UCA.

  7. Diploma in Pre-Primary Education (in Kiswahili)

    • Government Colleges: Kinampanda, Katoke, Singachini.
    • Non-Government Colleges: Darmiki, Tusaale, King Rumanyika, Kilimanjaro Modern.

  8. Diploma in Primary Education (Languages: English, French, Chinese)

    • Government Colleges: Marangu.
    • Non-Government Colleges: Arafah, St. Aggrey Chanji, UCA, King’ori, Bishop Daniel, King Rumanyika, Nyamwezi, Al Harmain, Kilimanjaro Modern, Montessori Kawekamo.

  9. Diploma in Primary Education (Arts and Sports in English)

    • Government Colleges: Butimba.

  10. Diploma in Primary Education (Arts and Sports in Kiswahili)

    • Government Colleges: Ilonga, Tarime.
    • Non-Government Colleges: Lake, Montessori Kawekamo, King Rumanyika, Coast, Nyamwezi, Musoma Utalii.

B. SPECIAL DIPLOMA IN PRIMARY EDUCATION (SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS, 3 YEARS)

  1. PME, CBE, CME, CSME

    • College: Tukuyu.

  2. PME, PCE, PBE, CBE, CME, CSME

    • Colleges: Morogoro, Kasulu, Songea, Korogwe, Tabora.

  3. PME, PCE, PBE, CME, CBE

    • Colleges: Klerruu, Monduli.

3. APPLICATION PROCEDURE

  1. Eligible applicants (Form Four/Six graduates or certified teachers) must apply as follows:

    • Government Colleges: Apply online via the MoEST admission system: https://tcm.moe.go.tr/.
    • Non-Government Colleges: Submit applications directly to the chosen college.

  2. Diploma (2 years) applicants must select three preferred courses, ranked by priority.

  3. Special Diploma (3 years) applicants must select three preferred specializations, ranked by priority.

  4. Selection results for Government Colleges will be published on the applicant’s online account starting 18/08/2025. Non-Government Colleges will notify applicants directly.

  5. Registration forms will be available on the MoEST website (www.moe.go.tr) and the respective college’s portal.

  6. Ensure to provide a complete postal address, email, and active phone number for communication.

  7. Deadline for applications: 14/08/2025.
