JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The District Executive Director of Biharamulo District Council announces to qualified Tanzanians the opportunity to apply for four (04) job vacancies in this Council after obtaining approval from the President's Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance as follows:

1.0 OFFICE MANAGEMENT SECRETARY GRADE II – 1 POST

1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Typing letters, reports and routine and confidential documents.
ii. Assisting in receiving visitors, presenting their problems, and directing them to where they can be assisted.
iii. Searching for files and documents needed for the execution of work duties.
iv. Receiving files and distributing them to officers in the relevant divisions, units, and sections.
v. Arranging extracts and making preparations for various meetings.
vi. Assisting in receiving files, distributing them to Officers in the assigned section, and collecting, maintaining, and returning them to the relevant sections.
vii. Preparing a list of office equipment requirements.

1.1.1 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
To be employed, Form Four or Six Graduates with a Diploma in Secretarial Studies or an NTA level 6 certificate in Secretarial Studies. Furthermore, they must have passed the Shorthand subject in Kiswahili and English at 100 words per minute and acquired office computer programs such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Internet, E-mail and Publisher from any institution recognized by the Government.

2.0 DRIVER GRADE II – 03 POSTS

2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. To inspect the vehicle before and after trips to determine its safety condition.
ii. To transport staff to various places on official trips.
iii. To perform minor vehicle repairs.
iv. To collect and distribute various documents.
v. To fill out and maintain records of all trips in the log book.
vi. To clean the vehicle.
vii. To perform other duties as assigned by his supervisor.

2.1.1 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
To be employed, one must have a Form IV certificate and a Class E or C driving license with which they have worked for at least one (1) year without causing an accident, along with the training certificates which qualified them to obtain those license classes. They must have attended a Basic Driving Course offered by any institution recognized by the Government.

2.1.2 SALARY LEVEL

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPLICANTS
i. All applicants must be Tanzanian Citizens and not older than 45 years.
ii. All applicants must attach a certified copy of their birth certificate verified by a Lawyer/Attorney.
iii. Applicants must attach a detailed Curriculum Vitae (Detailed C.V) with a reliable address and phone numbers along with the names of two reliable referees.
iv. All applications must be accompanied by professional certificates, details, and certified copies of certificates by a Lawyer/Attorney which are a birth certificate, Form Four, Form Six for those who reached that level, and certificates for completing various trainings according to the job requirements.
v. Testimonials, Provisional Results, Statement of Results, Form Four and Form Six Results Slips WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
vi. Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must ensure their certificates have been verified and approved by the relevant Authorities (TCU, NECTA and NACTE).
vii. Applicants who have retired from the Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have permission from the Chief Secretary.
viii. Job applicants who are already employed in intern positions within the Public Service should not apply and are required to follow the instructions in Circular Letter No. CCA.45/257/01/D/140 dated November 30, 2010.
ix. Applicants who submit false information and qualifications will face legal action.
x. The deadline for submitting applications is 28/11/2025.
