JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The District Executive Director of Tanganyika District Council announces to qualified Tanzanians the opportunity to apply for six (06) job vacancies in this Council after obtaining approval from the President's Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance as follows:

1.0 DRIVER GRADE II – 6 POSTS

1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. To inspect the vehicle before and after trips to determine its safety condition.
ii. To transport staff to various places on official trips.
iii. To perform minor vehicle repairs.
iv. To perform and distribute various documents when required.
v. To fill out and maintain records of all trips in the log book.
vi. To clean the vehicle.
vii. Other duties as assigned by the employer.

1.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
To be employed, one must have a Form IV certificate and a Class E or C driving license with which they have worked for at least one (1) year without causing an accident, along with the training certificates which qualified them to obtain those license classes. They must have attended a Basic Driving Course offered by VETA College or another institution recognized by the Government.

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPLICANTS
i. The applicant must be a Tanzanian Citizen aged not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years.
ii. The applicant must attach copies of Secondary Education Certificates, Professional Certificates, a copy of the NIDA ID card or NIDA Number, and a copy of the Birth Certificate. Applicants who submit "Result Slips, Statement of Results, Provisional Results or Transcripts" will not be accepted.
iii. Job applicants who are employed in the Public Service MUST NOT APPLY and are required to follow the instructions in circular number CAC45/257/01/D/140 dated 30th November 2010.
iv. All applicants must attach a detailed Curriculum Vitae (Detail Curriculum Vitae) with a reliable address, accessible phone numbers and an email address (E-mail address) along with the names of three reliable referees.
v. Job applicants for Driver Grade II with Class E or C licenses MUST ATTACH certificates for Driving Training which qualified them to obtain those license classes.
vi. Applicants who studied outside the country must ensure their certificates have been verified and validated by the relevant Authorities (TCU, NECTA and NACTE).
vii. Applicants who have retired from the Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have permission from the Chief Secretary.
viii. Applicants with different names on their Professional, Birth and NIDA certificates must attach a DEED POLL (Certificate of Registration of Change of Name).
ix. Applicants who have discrepancies in the spelling of their name in the National ID and Professional Certificates, Form Six, Form Four and Birth Certificate are required to attach an AFFIDAVIT (Oath).
x. Applicants who submit false information will face legal action in accordance with the Laws of the Country.
xi. Applicants who meet the criteria will be called for an interview.
xii. The deadline for submitting applications is 21.11.2025.
