JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Director of Iringa Municipality announces to qualified Tanzanians the opportunity to apply for six (06) job vacancies in this Municipality after obtaining approval from the President's Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance as follows:

1.1 DRIVER GRADE II – 4 POSTS

1.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. To inspect the vehicle before and after trips to determine its safety condition;
ii. To transport staff to various places on official trips;
iii. To perform minor vehicle repairs;
iv. To collect and distribute various documents;
v. To fill out and maintain records of all trips in the log book;
vi. To clean the vehicle;
vii. To perform other duties as assigned by his work supervisor.

1.1.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
To be employed, one must have a Form IV certificate and a Class E or C driving license with which they have worked for at least one (1) year without causing an accident, along with the training certificates which qualified them to obtain those license classes. They must have attended a Basic Driving Course offered by VETA College or another institution recognized by the Government.

1.2 PLANT OPERATOR GRADE II – 2 POSTS

1.2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. To operate machinery competently without supervision;
ii. To set various required measurements according to the work being done and as directed by the work supervisor;
iii. To provide first-line maintenance services for machinery and to be able to give correct instructions regarding machinery faults when required to do so;
iv. To properly write log sheets and keep accurate records of equipment consumption such as oil, grease, and spares;
v. To ensure that the machine/equipment is used for its intended tasks;
vi. To clean the machinery;
vii. To perform other duties as assigned by his Supervisor.

1.2.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
To be employed, one must have a Form IV certificate and a Class G license for operating machinery, along with skills in maintaining various pieces of that machinery, and have experience operating machinery (GREDA) for a period of not less than three hundred (300) hours or three (3) months without causing an accident.

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPLICANTS
i. All applicants must be Tanzanian Citizens aged between 18 and 45 years.
ii. Applicants must attach a detailed Curriculum Vitae (Detailed C.V) with a reliable address, accessible phone numbers, and an email address (E-mail Address) along with the names of three reliable referees.
iii. All applications must be accompanied by certified copies of Academic and Professional Certificates by a Lawyer/Attorney which are Form Four or Form Six Certificates for those who reached that level and certificates for completing various trainings according to the job requirements: Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificate – Form Four and Form Six Examination Certificates, Computer Certificate, and Professional Certificates (Professional Certificate from Respective Boards).
iv. Candidates who submit Testimonials, Provisional Results, Statement of results, Form IV and Form VI results slips WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AND WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PROCEED WITH THE SELECTION PROCESS.
v. Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must ensure their certificates have been verified and validated by the relevant Authorities (TCU, NECTA and NACTVET).
vi. Applicants who have retired from the Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have permission from the Chief Secretary.
vii. Job applicants for Driver Grade II with Class E or C licenses must attach certificates for Driving Training which qualified them to obtain those license classes.
viii. Job applicants who are already employed in intern positions within the Public Service should not apply and are required to follow the instructions in Circular Letter No. CAC. 45/257/01/D/140 dated November 30, 2010.
ix. Submission of false information and qualifications will lead to legal action against the concerned individuals.
x. Applicants who submit false information and qualifications will face legal action.
xi. Candidates whose names differ across their documents must submit a sworn affidavit for Change of Name (Deed Poll) registered by the Ministry of Lands.
xii. The deadline for submitting applications is November 27, 2025.
