JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The District Executive Director of Mbogwe District Council announces to qualified Tanzanians the opportunity to apply for (09) job vacancies in this Council after obtaining approval from the President's Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance as follows:-
1.0 DRIVER GRADE II – 08 POSTS
1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. To inspect the vehicle before and after trips to determine its safety condition.
ii. To transport staff to various places on official trips.
iii. To perform minor vehicle repairs.
iv. To perform and distribute various documents when required.
v. To fill out and maintain records of all trips in the log book.
vi. To clean the vehicle.
vii. Other duties as assigned by the employer.
1.1.1 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
To be employed, one must have a Form IV certificate and a Class E or C driving license with which they have worked for at least one (1) year without causing an accident, along with the training certificates which qualified them to obtain those license classes. They must have attended a Basic Driving Course offered by VETA College or another institution recognized by the Government.

2.0 OFFICE MANAGEMENT SECRETARY GRADE II – 01 POST
2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Typing letters, reports and routine and confidential documents.
ii. Receiving visitors, registering their problems and directing them to where they can be assisted.
iii. Maintaining records of events, appointments, meeting dates, the travel of his/her Boss and other work schedules.
iv. Searching for files and documents needed in the execution of work duties.
v. Receiving files and distributing them to Officers in the relevant Division/Units or sections.
vi. Collecting, maintaining, and returning files and documents to the relevant sections.
vii. Arranging extracts and making preparations for various meetings.
viii. Preparing a list of office equipment requirements.
ix. Performing other duties as assigned by the Employer.
2.1.1 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
To be employed, Form IV/VI graduates with a Diploma – NTA Level 6 in the field of Secretarial Studies and must have passed the Shorthand subject in Kiswahili and English at 100 words per minute and acquired training in Office Computer programs such as: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, E-mail and Publisher from any institution recognized by the Government.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
i. All applicants must be Tanzanian Citizens aged between 18 and 45 years, except for those already employed in Government service.

iii. Applicants must attach a detailed Curriculum Vitae (Detailed C.V) with a reliable address, accessible phone numbers and an email address along with the names of referees.
iv. Applicants who are already Public Servants and have acquired qualifications for a different cadre than the one they are in should channel their application letters for job vacancies through their employers, and the Employers should forward them accordingly.
v. All applications must be accompanied by certified copies of Academic and Professional Certificates by a Lawyer/Attorney which are Form Four or Form Six Certificates for those who reached that level and certificates for completing various trainings according to the job requirements: Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificate – Form Four and Form Six Examination Certificates, Computer Certificate, Professional Certificates (Professional Certificate from Respective Boards).
vi. “Testimonials”, “Provisional Results”, “Statement of results”, Form Four and Form Six Results Slips WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
vii. Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must ensure their certificates have been verified and validated by the relevant Authorities (TCU, NECTA and NACTVET).
viii. Applicants who have retired from the Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have permission from the Chief Secretary.
ix. Job applicants who are already employed in intern positions within the Public Service should not apply and are required to follow the instructions in Circular Letter No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated November 30, 2010.
x. Submission of false information and qualifications will lead to legal action against the concerned individuals.
xi. Applicants who submit false information and qualifications will face legal action.
xii. The deadline for submitting applications is November 20, 2025.
