JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Director of Kilolo District Council announces to qualified and willing Tanzanians to apply for (08) job vacancies in the Kilolo District Council after receiving approval from the President's Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance as per the following details;

1.0 DRIVER GRADE II – VACANCIES 8

1.1. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

i. To inspect the vehicle before and after a journey to determine the safety condition of the vehicle;
ii. To perform minor vehicle repairs;
iii. To transport staff to various places on official travel;
iv. To fill out and maintain all records in the journey log book;
v. To collect and distribute various documents;
vi. To clean the vehicle; and
vii. To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

1.1.1 QUALIFICATIONS FOR EMPLOYMENT

To be employed one must have a Form Four certificate and a Class E or C Driving License for driving vehicles which they have used for work for a period of not less than one (1) year without causing an accident together with training certificates which qualified them to obtain the respective classes. Must have attended a Basic Driving Course offered by VETA College or another institution recognized by the Government.

1.1.2 SALARY SCALE - TGS B

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPLICANTS

i. All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens and aged between 18 and 45 years;
ii. Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and must specify in the job application system the disability they have for information to the Secretariat of Employment in the Public Service.
iii. All applicants must attach comprehensive personal details (Detailed Curriculum Vitae) with a functional address, available phone numbers and an Email Address together with names of three reliable referees.
iv. Applicants who are already Public Servants and have acquired qualifications to enter a different cadre from their current one should submit their job application letters through their employers and their employers must certify appropriately.
v. All applications must be accompanied by certified Educational and Professional certificates verified by a Magistrate/Advocate which are Form Four or Six certificates for those who have reached that level and certificates for completion of various trainings considering the job qualifications.
vi. Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates, Form IV and VI Examination Certificates, Computer Certificate, Professional Certificates (Professional Certificate from Respective Boards);
vii. Applicants for the Driver II cadre with a Class E or C license MUST ATTACH driving training certificates which qualified them to obtain the respective classes.
viii. "Testimonial", "Provisional Results", "Statement of results", Form Four and Form Six results slips WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
ix. Applicants who studied outside the Country must ensure their certificates have been assessed and verified by the relevant Authorities (TCU, NECTA and NACTE).
x. Applicants retired from the Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have permission from the Chief Secretary Leader.

Job applicants who are already employed in intern positions within the Public Service should not apply and are required to consider the instructions contained in Circular No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated 30th November, 2010.
Submission of false information and qualifications, those involved will face legal action.
The deadline for submitting job applications is 27th January, 2026.
