JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT – JANUARY 23, 2026
Mbalizi Institute of Health Sciences is an institution located in Mbeya District, Mbeya Region, owned by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tanzania (ELCT) with its headquarters in Mbalizi town. The following positions are being advertised:
- TEACHING POSITION – NURSING CADRE
(I) NURSING OFFICER GRADE II (04 POSTS)
(a) Applicant Qualifications:
• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a government-recognized university.
• Must be registered with the Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council (TNMC).
• Must have completed one year of internship.
• Must have at least one year of work experience.
• Must hold a valid license from the Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council.
• Must be proficient in computer use (Ms Word, Ms Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Must have completed “TEACHING METHODOLOGY” training.
(b) Duties and Responsibilities:
• Teaching students in the Nursing and Midwifery cadre.
• Coordinating research related to Nursing at the workplace.
• Supervising and implementing quality assurance services for Nursing at the workplace.
• Supervising regulations and laws established by the Institution and the Ministry of Health.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- TEACHING POSITION – RADIOLOGY CADRE
(II) HEALTH TECHNOLOGIST (RADIATION) GRADE II (02 POSTS)
(c) Applicant Qualifications:
• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Radiology from a government-recognized university.
• Must be registered with the Medical Radiology Council of Tanzania.
• Must have at least one year of work experience.
• Must hold a valid license from the Medical Radiology Council.
• Must be proficient in computer use (Ms Word, Ms Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Must have completed “TEACHING METHODOLOGY” training.
(d) Duties and Responsibilities:
• Teaching students in the Radiology cadre.
• Coordinating research related to Radiology and radiation safety at the workplace.
• Supervising and implementing quality assurance services for radiation services at the workplace.
• Supervising regulations and laws established by the Institution and the Ministry of Health.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
• The applicant must be a citizen of Tanzania.
• The applicant must attach a birth certificate.
• The applicant must attach a detailed Curriculum Vitae (C.V.) including a reliable address and phone numbers, as well as the names of three reliable referees.
• All applications must be accompanied by professional certificates, transcripts, and copies of Form IV and Form VI certificates for those who reached that level, and graduation certificates.
• Various training documents must be relevant to the specific job; attachments should be bound properly to avoid the possibility of falling out or getting lost.
• Submission of forged information or qualifications will lead to legal action against the involved parties.
