HR LEAD – NAGARA
Position Summary:
Tembo Nickel is seeking to recruit a HR Lead to join Tembo Nickel Project Team. This role will be accountable in delivering best practice in managing people and contractors on site. The successful candidate for this role will report to the Site General Manager.
Duty Station: Tembo Nickel Project Site – Ngara
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems on site
• Provide training on policies and procedures for employees and contractors on site
• Lead recruitment process for site-based roles
• Prepare and submit all Human Resources Reports on monthly and quarterly basis
• Review and implement effective on-boarding plans
• Develop training and development programs
• Assist in performance management processes
• Provide support to management on matters relating to disciplinary and grievances
• Maintain employee records according to TNCL policies and legal requirements
• Conduct monthly auditing of contractors to ensure compliance with labor legislation
• Supervise travel and camp teams
Qualifications and Competencies:
• Bachelor's degree in Social Science or related discipline. Master's degree in Social Science is an added advantage
• Minimum of 5 years' working experience in HR management in a large-scale operation, preferably in the mining and extractive industry
• Demonstrated knowledge of Tanzanian and international regulatory framework for HR Management
GIS AND DATABASE SPECIALIST
Position Summary:
Tembo Nickel is seeking to recruit a GIS and Database Specialist to join Tembo Nickel Project Team. This role will support RAP and Geology activities on site. This is a Fixed Term contract of 1 Year and the successful candidate will report to the RAP Lead.
Duty Station: Tembo Nickel Project Site – Ngara
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform GIS database development, qualitative/quantitative analysis, and mapping
• Produce detailed, high-quality cartographic products (digital and hardcopy) and accompanying reports
• Communicate with project team members and stakeholders to define data needs and project requirements
• Compile, manipulate, and refine geographic data from various sources including CAD, field observation, satellite imagery, aerial photographs, and existing maps
• Perform quality control checks of GIS Data and non-spatial databases to ensure data integrity
• Manage individual project tasks related to GIS, database design and management, and data visualization
• Customize GIS workflow and software programs for data
Qualifications and Competencies:
• Minimum 5 years of ESRI ArcGIS experience
• AS/BS in Engineering or related field
• Previous experience in developing GIS project deliverables
• Able to perform field data collection activities requiring long durations of walking and climbing stairs
• Able to travel for extended periods of time for up to three weeks at project locations
• Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS Software, Autodesk Software, and Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in related field
NURSE
Position Summary:
Tembo Nickel is seeking to recruit a Nurse to join Tembo Nickel Project Team. This role will support the site clinic and OHS department in executing day to day clinical activities. This is a Fixed Term contract of 1 Year and the successful candidate will report to the Medical Doctor.
Duty Station: Tembo Nickel Project Site – Ngara
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist Medical Doctors in organizing and providing care and treatments to patients
• Respond to doctors' requirements in case of an emergency
• Participate in the surveillance and monitoring of patients and report any relevant information to the Doctor
• Participate in monitoring nursing activities and ensure relevant transfer of information between duty teams
• Report any problems arising in the care unit, especially loss, robbery or damage of equipment or medicines
• Ensure cleanliness of working environment, including facilities, material, linen, equipment, and waste disposal
• Participate actively in hospital platform meetings, committees, trainings, and basic health education sessions
• Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of biomedical equipment following user manual and protocols
Qualifications and Competencies:
• Certificate in Nursing and Midwifery
• 3 years working experience
• Working in Mining or mega project is an added advantage
• Must be Registered by Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council (TNMC) with Valid License to Practice
HR OFFICER
Position Summary:
Tembo Nickel is seeking to recruit a HR Officer to join Tembo Nickel Project Team. This role will be accountable in delivering best practice in managing people and contractors on site. The successful candidate for this role will report to the HR Lead. This is a Fixed Term contract for 1 Year.
Duty Station: Tembo Nickel Project Site – Ngara
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist in attending staff matters regarding recruitment, selection, confirmation, promotions, and internal transfers
• Assist in preparations of orientation and induction programs
• Collect, analyse and keep employment records for employees
• Assist in conducting training needs assessment, preparation and implementation of annual training plans
• Assist in monitoring daily staff attendance and recommend solutions to resolve chronic attendance difficulties
• Follow up on all office requirements in liaison with procurement unit
• Prepare and monitor implementation of staff leave roster
• Manage and update Local Skills Labor Desk
• Maintain proper records of TNCL staff personnel files, leave records, contract expiry and renewals
• Assist in monitoring implementation of succession plans
Qualifications and Competencies:
• Bachelor's degree in Social Science or related discipline

PROCUREMENT OFFICER – DAR ES SALAAM
Position Summary:
Tembo Nickel is seeking to recruit a Procurement Officer to join Tembo Nickel Project Team. This role is responsible for procurement of goods and services. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring timely procurement of goods and services required by various internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate must demonstrate high level of integrity and teamwork. The successful candidate will report to the Procurement Manager. This is a Fixed Term contract of 1 Year.
Duty Station: Dar es Salaam
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Evaluate MRP daily, generate purchase orders timely, resolve material issues/shortages
• Support responsible inventory management practices and reporting to achieve KPI goals
• Negotiate pricing and terms for parts and services and establish strategic stocking plans and/or blanket purchase agreements with vendors
• Manage day to day relationship ownership of active suppliers and assess supplier risk and develop mitigation plans
• Maintain accurate supplier and part information in SAP/Pronto
• Acquire quotations from third party and Tembo Nickel vendors
• Review purchase requisition for completeness and accuracy
• Create and transmit POs and provide PO-related services for multiple segments of Tembo Nickel
• Assist in execution of PO changes
• Follow up on deliveries and confirm POs with supplier
• Track PO status and expedite as needed
• Support PO closeout during project finalization
• Support sourcing options for non-critical parts
• Supervise PO status reports and work to resolve discrepancies

Qualifications and Competencies:
• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics Management or Business Administration
• 5 years of work experience in procurement or as a Buyer
• Conversant with procurement systems like SAP, Pronto etc.
• Excellent analytical and judgment skills
• Strategic sourcing, opportunity analysis, and strong negotiation with highly effective communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
• Membership of PSPTB is a must
• Excellent knowledge of local content legislation is an added advantage
RAP OFFICER – NGARA
Position Summary:
Tembo Nickel is seeking to recruit a RAP Officer to join Tembo Nickel Project Team. The RAP Officer will support the Community Relations and Social Performance Manager in implementing the Tembo Nickel RAP by promoting a clear understanding of resettlement implementation activities amongst PAPs and local communities. This is a Fixed Term contract of 1 Year and the successful candidate will report to the RAP Lead.
Duty Station: Tembo Nickel Project Site – Ngara
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Serve as liaison between TN and identified local stakeholders
• Assist with key studies and research with a social aspect
• Facilitate project work streams with a community interface
• Assist departments to identify and plan mitigation strategies for key social impacts
• Write and submit relevant reports to the Community Relations Lead
• Participate in development of department plans, monitoring and evaluation
• Undertake monitoring, internal evaluation and documentation of CR activities
• Undertake other duties as assigned
• In the absence of CRL, the Senior Community Relations Officer will act as Community Relations Lead
Qualifications and Competencies:
• Advanced degree in Social Sciences, Sociology, Social Anthropology, Rural Development, Environmental Sciences or related discipline
• Minimum 5–7 years professional experience working within rural communities in Tanzania
• Experience in investor-financed projects compliant with International Performance Standards
• Minimum 5 years experience in land acquisition and resettlement programs
• Experience in compensation payments and banking interfaces

SAFETY OFFICER

Tembo Nickel is seeking to recruit a Safety Officer to join Tembo Nickel Project Team based at Kabanga. The role ensures support to employees and supervisors on Health and Safety matters. The successful candidate will report to the OHS Lead. This is a Fixed Term contract of 1 Year.
Duty Station: Kabanga Project Site – Ngara
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead and promote a positive safety culture
• Provide support and guidance to safety representatives
• Conduct on-job coaching and training
• Conduct weekly and monthly safety meetings
• Implement ISO 45001:2018 management systems
• Conduct inspections, audits, and incident investigations
• Ensure compliance with Tanzanian OHS regulations
• Facilitate risk assessments and hazard identification
Qualifications and Competencies:

EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM COORDINATOR
Position Summary:
Tembo Nickel is seeking to recruit an Emergency Response Team Coordinator based at Kabanga. The role provides leadership in emergency response and training.
Duty Station: Kabanga
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead emergency response and rescue operations
• Conduct ERT and evacuation training
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures
• Inspect fire and rescue equipment
• Act as duty officer in a 24-hour system
• Conduct inspections of airstrip operations
Qualifications and Competencies:
• Certificate in Emergency Management NOSCH I & II
• OSHA Fire and Rescue certifications
• 4–5 years experience in mining or construction

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Implement environmental management plans
• Conduct monitoring, inspections, and reporting
• Manage contractors and consultants
• Facilitate environmental training
• Conduct incident investigations
Qualifications and Competencies:
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Minimum of 3 years experience in environmental management
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 EMS and NEMC requirements
