Health & Safety Officer – 6 Positions
Job Location: Kilombero, Morogoro, Tanzania
Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will support the site functional area to effectively implement, comply with and monitor Health & Safety standards and processes, through coaching, guidance and communication with all relevant stakeholders, implementing safety performance and related standards systems process, and applicable legislative or regulatory requirements and promote safety culture and awareness.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate and facilitate Safety risk assessments, and work with operations to develop best mitigation plans.
  • Coach and guideline management in the assessment, management and continuous improvement of Health & Safety performance.
  • Facilitate Health & Safety incident investigations and coordinate the verification of closeout actions.
  • Facilitate the closeout of audit findings.
  • Create Safety awareness using various fit for purpose media (e.g., toolbox talks, noticeboards, electronic media).

  • 2-3 years’ experience in an operational environment (Factory / Agriculture), working in a health and safety role.
  • Training in First Aid and Fire Prevention is an added advantage.

Laboratory Technician- 4 Positions
Job Location: Morogoro - Kilombero, Tanzania
Job Purpose:
The successful Candidate will perform scientific tests and experiments accurately and efficiently to support research, quality control, or diagnostic processes. To prepare samples, operate and maintain laboratory equipment, record and analyze data, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards to facilitate reliable and valid results.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and issues quality control reports.
  • Captures analytical data on laboratory information databases.
  • Calibration of all analytical instruments in the laboratory.
  • Prepare reference standards used for analysis.
  • Assist in the validation of laboratory equipment and test procedures.
  • Problem-solve and investigate out of specification results.

Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer- 1 position
Job Location: Morogoro - Kilombero, Tanzania
Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will be responsible to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient functioning of all electrical and instrumentation systems within the plant or facility. Provide technical expertise in the design, installation, calibration, and maintenance of electrical and control systems to support optimal plant performance.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for electrical safety in the workplace in accordance with regulations and standards.
  • Responsible for designing, developing, installing, managing, and maintaining electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of E&I systems.

Environmental Compliance Manager -1 Position
Job Location: Kilombero, Morogoro, Tanzania
Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will ensure all applicable company, legislative, regulatory and customer safety requirements are upheld through appropriate control measures, including but not limited to Environmental and Contractor-managed operations. Develop, implement, and monitor environmental strategies that promote sustainable development.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation and entrenchment of systems, best practices, minimum standards, policies, processes, tools, technology and enablers for Energy, Water and Environmental (EWE) elements.
  • Designing and leading the environmental management system (EMS).
  • Facilitate processes, interventions and programmes to determine and address business risk in EWE.

Job Purpose:

Partner with and provide safety leadership to Functional Heads and provide strong, integrated analytical insights that enable a safe place of work.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Systems Administrator -1 Position
Job Location: Kilombero, Morogoro, Tanzania
Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will ensure the proper documentation, reporting, and compliance with safety regulations, as well as assisting in the development and implementation of HSE programs.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to HSE system users, troubleshoot issues, access administration and facilitate training sessions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into HSE systems, monitor data integrity, and generate reports.
  • Support the onboarding of new employees and contractors including induction, training and access administration.
  • Collaborate with HSE personnel to analyse system data, identify trends, and provide insights.

Maintenance Worker (Electrical) - (2 Positions)
Job Location: Morogoro, Kilombero, Tanzania
Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will be responsible for Electrical services and trouble shooting at Factories in the manufacturing Department.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Carries out maintenance and repairs electrical breakdowns and troubleshooting at Factory during crushing season.
  • Inspection of Turbo Alternators operation.
  • Repairs all electrical instruments during crushing season and offcrop.
  • Attend all breakdowns of machines and systems all over the factory during crushing season.
  • Able to read standard electrical drawings.
  • Able to prepare motor starters and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor the performance of the electrical equipment.
  • Ensures safe and standard servicing of motors and welding machines.
  • Able to fill Power generation logbooks on daily basis.

Maintenance Worker (Mechanical Fitter) - 3 Positions
Job Location: Morogoro, Kilombero, Tanzania
Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will be responsible to attend repairs, fitting, and maintenance on mechanical parts in the factories.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect equipment as per checklists timely and submit to a section planner.
  • To ensure planned maintenance of mechanical equipment are executed timely.
  • To conduct off crop maintenance/overhauls as planned.
  • Carry out agreed monitoring, sampling & analysis routines to identify & escalate non-conformances in a timely manner.
  • Close relationship and communication with operation team to enable timely troubleshooting of equipment breakdown.

Job Purpose:
The Planning Clerk ensures that all operations in assigned area are carried out as per the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System at Kilombero Sugar to achieve the quality standards.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that all operations are carried out as per the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System.
  • Performs all tasks according to Kilombero Sugar’s Quality, Safety, Health and Environment policies and procedures.

Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will be responsible to run Turbines correctly and safely in order to achieve KPA’s.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the housekeeping at all times during the shift.
  • Operation monitoring - Frequently check gauges, dials or other indicators to ensure proper machine function.

Water Treatment Plant & Weighbridge Attendant- 4 Positions
Job Location: Morogoro - Kilombero, Tanzania
Job Purpose:
The successful Candidate will be responsible to ensure that the Water Treatment Plant is well managed to produce the desired grades and quantities of water for the distillery and utilities. This position is also responsible for manning the weighbridge to control all receipts (raw materials) and sales (alcohol).

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the Water Treatment Plant is efficiently operated to consistently meet water quality and quantity requirements.
  • Attend to process deviations and equipment breakdowns timeously.
  • Achieve and maintain the plant’s performance, safety, housekeeping, quality and environmental standards.
  • Log, capture, and communicate required information to the Production Team Lead.
  • Properly record all receipts of raw materials and dispatches of alcohol and forward records to the Logistic Foreman.
  • Ensure all processes comply with ISO 22000 and safety, health, environment, and quality standards.
  • Operate the Water Treatment Plant efficiently, including:
    • Backwashing of filters.
    • Checking chemical stock levels.
    • Regeneration of softener and demineralised water units.
  • Record relevant data on log sheets/logbooks at required intervals.
  • Conduct required water quality analysis.
  • Report all quality deviations and irregularities.
  • Conduct visual checks and inspections of the plant and utilities.
  • Undertake routine cleaning of the plant as per instructions.
  • Weigh trucks in the weighbridge as per procedure and keep proper records.
  • Assist with duties in other areas of the plant as needed.

Qualifications And Experience:

  • Diploma or certification in water treatment, environmental science or related field.
  • Advanced Level Certificate in Mathematics or Science. Certifications in water treatment operations are preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of chemistry, biology, and environmental science.
  • Preferred candidates with some technical training or internship experience.
  • 1–2 years’ experience working in a water plant or manufacturing environment is preferred.
