VOLUNTEER JOB VACANCIES
Position: Nurse Officer Grade II
Number of Positions: 5
Applicant Qualifications
i. Must be a Tanzanian citizen aged between 18 years and not exceeding 35 years.
ii. Must be a graduate with a Certificate or Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery from a college recognized by the Government.
iii. Must be a legal holder of professional certificates.
iv. Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Tanzania.
v. Must have two (2) referees who are Public Servants.
vi. Must have a letter from the Village/Mtaa/Hamlet Executive Officer.
vii. Must be willing to volunteer in the assigned area.
viii. Must never have been convicted by a court for criminal or disciplinary offences.
ix. Must have good conduct and behavior acceptable to the community.
x. Must never have been employed in any public institution since graduating.
Duties and Responsibilities
i. To perform nursing duties by serving clients in the community, hospitals, and all areas where health services are provided.
ii. To supervise and coordinate the work of health workers at their work station.
iii. To collect statistics and prepare reports on work performance.
iv. To provide preventive services and family planning services.
v. To educate patients and the community on health-related issues.
vi. To monitor the maintenance of working tools in their work areas.
vii. To perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor related to education, experience, and skills.
viii. To provide maternity and child health services.
