JOB VACANCIES ANNOUNCEMENT

The District Executive Director of invites qualified Tanzanians to apply for eight (08) job vacancies in this Council after receiving approval from the President’s Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance, as detailed below:

1.0 DRIVER GRADE II – 4 POSITIONS

1.0.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Inspecting the vehicle before and after trips to determine its safety condition;
ii. Transporting employees to various locations on official duties;
iii. Performing minor vehicle repairs;
iv. Collecting and distributing various documents;
v. Recording and maintaining all trip details in the vehicle logbook;
vi. Cleaning the vehicle;
vii. Performing any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

1.0.2 QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must hold a Form Four Certificate and possess a Class E or C Driving License for vehicles they have driven for a period of not less than one (1) year without causing accidents, together with training certificates qualifying them for the respective classes. In addition, they must have attended a Basic Driving Course offered by a college recognized by the Government.

2.0 OFFICE SECRETARY/CLERK – 4 POSITIONS

2.0.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Typing letters, reports and ordinary and confidential documents;
ii. Receiving visitors, addressing their concerns and directing them to appropriate offices;
iii. Keeping records of events, appointments, visitors, meeting dates, superior’s travel and other work schedules;
iv. Searching for files and documents required for the execution of duties;
v. Receiving files and distributing them to officers in the respective departments/sections/units;
vi. Collecting, keeping and returning files and documents to relevant offices;
vii. Preparing minutes and arrangements for various meetings; and
viii. Preparing a list of office equipment and supply requirements.

2.0.2 QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must be Form Four or Form Six graduates with a Diploma in Secretarial Studies or an NTA Level 6 Certificate in Secretarial Studies. In addition, they must have passed Kiswahili and English typing at a speed of 100 words per minute and have received training in office computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, E-mail and Publisher from a Government-recognized institution.

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR ALL POSITIONS

i. All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years.
ii. Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and must indicate the nature of their disability in the recruitment application system for record purposes by the Public Service Employment Secretariat.
iii. All applicants must attach a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) with a valid address, reachable phone numbers, email address and names of three reliable referees. “Provisional Results,” “Testimonials,” “Statements of Results,” and Form IV and Form VI results slips WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
iv. All applicants must attach a birth certificate certified by an Advocate/Attorney.
v. Applicants who have retired from Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have permission from the Chief Secretary.
vi. Applicants who are currently Public Servants and have obtained qualifications for different cadres must submit their applications through their respective employers, who must certify them accordingly.
vii. Applicants who are already employed in entry-level positions in the Public Service should not apply and must adhere to Circular Ref. No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated 30 November 2010.
viii. All applications must be accompanied by certified copies (by an Advocate/Attorney) of academic and professional certificates, including Form Four and Form Six certificates (for those who attained that level), and certificates for completed training relevant to the applied position.
ix. Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates; Form IV and Form VI examination certificates; Computer Certificate; Professional certificates from respective boards.
x. Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must ensure their certificates are verified by the relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA and NACTE).
xi. Submission of forged information or qualifications will result in legal action being taken against the applicant.
xii. The deadline for submission of applications is 11 March, 2026.

xiv.
