CONDITION BASED MONITORING (CBM) ENGINEER
Mbeya Cement Company Limited, a member of Amsons Group, is seeking to recruit a highly motivated Condition Based Monitoring (CBM) Engineer to be based at the Mbeya Plant under a permanent employment contract. The reporting line for this position is to the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Manager.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Set up and manage condition monitoring systems (CM/PdM), including data collection, trending, and history maintenance.
b) Create inspection routes, ensure route compliance, and ensure effective use of inspection checklists by inspectors.
c) Perform first-level inspections (walk-by inspections) by monitoring every equipment on route using checklists to record findings.
d) Collect data for vibration analysis by gauging plant equipment, taking readings, analyzing them, and recording findings.
e) Analyze data from tools such as vibration, thermography, oil analysis, and ultrasonic techniques to detect degradation and forecast failures.
f) Work with IT to integrate monitoring tools with existing systems, scout for new technologies, provide training to staff members, and foster a reliability-focused culture.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in clinker and cement manufacturing industry.
TECHNICAL / BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
a) Vibration analysis.
b) Fan balancing and machine alignment.
c) Proficiency in MS Office applications.
d) Ability to analyze engineering drawings.
e) Ability to collect and analyze vibration data.
f) Ability to suggest and select better tools for Preventive and Predictive Maintenance.
