ANNOUNCEMENT OF VOLUNTEER POSITIONS

The Executive Director of Ruangwa District Council announces to all citizens with the required qualifications to submit applications for volunteering for the positions specified below;

1.0 DRIVER GRADE II – 9 POSITIONS

1.1 RESPONSIBILITIES OF DRIVER GRADE II

i) To inspect the vehicle before and after a trip to ascertain the safety condition of the vehicle.
ii) To transport staff to various places on official trips.
iii) To perform minor vehicle repairs.
iv) To collect and distribute various documents when required.
v) To fill and keep records of all trips in the logbook.
vi) To clean the vehicle, and
vii) To perform other duties as assigned by the Employer.

1.1.1 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

i) Must have completed Form Four (IV) or Form Six (VI).

ii) Must have a driving license class “E or C1” for driving, along with experience in driving vehicles for a period of not less than one year without causing an accident.

iii) Must have attended a Basic Driving Course offered by the Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) or any College recognized by the Government.

iv) Applicants with a Trade Test Certificate Grade II will be given first consideration.

1.1.2 PAYMENT

These positions aim to provide graduates with an opportunity to learn and gain experience and are not permanent jobs. Those selected will be paid an allowance in accordance with Government guidelines.

2.0 GENERAL TERMS

I. All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens and aged between 18 years and not exceeding 35 years.

II. All applicants should attach a detailed Curriculum Vitae containing a current address, accessible phone numbers, and an Email address, along with the names of three reliable referees.

III. All applications must be accompanied by certified copies of Educational and Professional Certificates, a Birth Certificate, a copy of the National ID or Passport, and two (2) small colored passport photos.

IV. Testimonials, Provisional Results, Statement of Results, Form Four and Form Six Result Slips WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

V. Applicants who submit false information will be dealt with according to the Laws of the Country.

VI. The deadline for submitting job applications is 27 February, 2026.

IX. Volunteering will not be used as a prerequisite for obtaining permanent employment, except to enable graduates to continue learning and gaining experience.
